Chrysler, Toyota, Ford, Holden, and Mitsubishi in 'Supercharged 6 Supercars' Sounds like good fun to me :D
I'm out if that happens....sounds like the 24 hour race for production cars.

I dont think its such a ridiculous idea.. everything else could stay the same.. same aero, same control tyre, same whatever..

Just makes it easier for the 360 and the Aurion and whatever else to have a go at the series...

Im sure Dick and the Stones and 888 would be able to get some pretty serious grunt out of a smaller engine, given enough time to play with it..

Having said all that.. This idea is completely spur of the moment, and im sure theres' 100 reasons why it wouldnt work :D

All i know is my interest in the series has lessened pretty consistently for about the last 3 years, and i cant see any signs of it getting any better... Theres' no passing... No one is happy with the amount of funds needed to run a team... and there is no loyalty from teams or drivers to either brand anymore so what the hell... LET EM ALL IN... as long as theyre a big 5 door family sedan.. why the hell not!?

I agree Mitch, its time for a change. Did anyone read Mark Oastler's comments in the current issue of "Australian Muscle car"?
in short he says - RWD control chassis, Different body shapes, 3 classes(SWB 4cyl)(MWB 6cyl)(LWB 8cyl), 2 tyre compounds Hard and Soft, No forced induction, power to weight ratio like in the Group A era.
Sounds good to me.

I never said it was mate, just not what I want to see. The group C days that was fine because there were still thumping great 351 Clevos blasting around, as well as whatever Holden chose to badge their's as. The group A days didn't give us much choice after Dick moved out of the Mustang, though the Sierras were bloody exciting to watch.

I just prefer the V8 formula, but perhaps I might prefer a step back to the '93-'95 style championship.[bc]

so you want to bring back the PJ Dash Quasi??
I wouldn't say that. In fact I had a letter published at the time(either Motorsport News, or Auto Action)disparaging the the dash for cash, but many other aspects of that series I feel where preferable.
