Ford to reduce funding.

As I have stated in another thread, my loyalties lie closer to DJR than to Ford. I hope someone makes it clear to Ford exactly how alot of us are feeling. In fact I might do it myself.

Do it RJ the last thing Ford can fo is loose the support of anyone they have lost a hell of a lot with this ludicrous decision. How can they piss on a team that has driven Fords for over thirty years.

Not sure of the accuracy if this as I read it on another forum, but rumour has it DJ actually found out about the funding cut by reading it in the paper - FORD, what the F**k are you doing???????????????

Dick was on the 7 news telling his side of the story tonight, and he said Ford are only supporting their two teams, and DJR is not one of them.

It has been probably the longest coupling of any driver/ maker in a sponsorship alliance in this country, it sure doesn't make sence, but then again it means they may have a few more dollars to put to the two teams they do support I guess, not much consolation though.

I feel sick[pk]

As I said on the Team Mates forum, Dick & DJR have always been more important to me over Ford, but I just can't understand why Ford would drop such a famous pairing in Australian motor sport history, considering it's in the motor business?? [hb]

Fcuk that piece of shit Price and f#@k Winslow that vice pres of marketing and sales.
FPR have been around for 5 f#@ki#g minutes and they have won 5/8's of f#@k all and all this seems to be revolving around that f#@ki#g princess Courtney.

If Dick didn't hear it first hand from Price i will never buy another Ford product again.
My BT50 is more Ford than it is Mazda. If this was out earlier i would have bought a Hilux

Has anyone been kicked in the guts by somebody that you reckoned that was your best mate? Well, I haven't, but it probably feels like how I'm feeling right now, and probably about 1000 times worse for Dick and DJR.

Pack of ar5e holes!!!

I've looked back at my years of car ownership over 28 years more than 20 yrs were with Ford, most of those were with 2 or more Fords at the same time - and from my first XD in 1983, my EB in '94, new DJR320 in '04, new Ford Territory in 2007 (from DJR sponsor Southside Ford), DJR has influenced my decision in these purchases.

Well, I guess DJR still will.............

Ha, that`s good of ya nascar12. A bit of Moveing around happening out there in the funding side of things a.Hopefully Ford will be backing the other top Ford teams in an indirect way.Which won`t be such a bad thing.[drive]

Maybe Dick needs to get Charlie onto putting a prospectus to all the Qld Ford dealers, and going back to the old days of the Ford dealer team sponsors, I reckon Charlie can do it, he's got that way of making a slug race seem exciting.

I reckon that with DJR already committed to getting chassis from 888, and them being one of the two teams (I think) we'll be right to keep a couple of Fords under the carport yet .

[B)] That was one of the most uncharacteristic comments from Jim, standing on the podium, claiming the Bathurst Trophy from a position on track where he had no chance of being the victor due to a crash which put most of the right side and suspension under the car, and he knew it was an unjust decision.

He looked down on the crowd and called all the DJR and Ford fans a pack of Assholes because the rules allowed him to be declared the winner and sportsmanship was not going to get in the way of him taking that trophy.

Jim is a great driver, but since that day i have no respect for him, none.

His following gloating and explaining did little to redeem his statements from the day before and it appeared from them that he would be happy to get the winn even if they just drew his name out of a hat, to him a win is a win.

From someone who has won so many many times, you would have thought they'd have put more value on a win than that; and would have had more respect for the race, the opposition and the fans.[jk]

That fact that his dickhead team mates (most work at HRT now) were gesticulating towards the crowd all day meant that even if Richards/Skaife won it with all 4 wheels attached to the car they were still going to cop the abuse.

Poita is correct Ray Price , Winslow and anybody else that made this decision is indeed a pack of arseholes. In fact i'd go even further seeing Dick has given Ford more results than any other team in racing history in Australia and say that they are that low they could parachute out of a snakes arsehole
