Ford to reduce funding.

That fact that his dickhead team mates (most work at HRT now) were gesticulating towards the crowd all day meant that even if Richards/Skaife won it with all 4 wheels attached to the car they were still going to cop the abuse.

Poita is correct Ray Price , Winslow and anybody else that made this decision is indeed a pack of arseholes. In fact i'd go even further seeing Dick has given Ford more results than any other team in racing history in Australia and say that they are that low they could parachute out of a snakes arsehole

I have had my doubts about Price from the first time I saw him a nd heard him speak. He comes a across as a bit of a "yes" man and is absolutely nothing like the Gillitzer's and Marsden's that we had been blessed with previously.

BTW, has anyone read the race reports from DJR over the week end?

Has anyone else picked up on the subtle use of the word - "Valiant"?

Could this be a sign?

It was very subtle and you never know. BTW, If I hear Price say the words "business decision" again I will go to the Oran Park round and jam his head up his arse.

settle people, Ford is still a part of DJR and always will be... just wait till July 17...
Doesn't the Pope arrive in Oz on July 17 HH? Are you suggesting some 'divine intervention' for DJR? :D
In all seriousness though, as gutted as I am at Ford's decision, this could potentially be a blessing in disguise for DJR. Ford have interests in other teams now so a bigger slice of the pie was always going to be an uphill battle for DJR especially when they are competing against the likes of 888, FPR and SBR.
This announcement seems to have struck a nerve with a lot of people and it appears to have stirred up plenty of emotion. This could be exactly what DJR needs to flush prospective corporate backers out of the woodwork or to take their relationship with 888 to a new level as 'Ford discards'?
Here's hoping this is a beginning of a new and prosperous future for Dick and all at DJR/JBR.

I also like how Roland Dane referred to the FPR cars as "Volvo's" on saturday. I think there will be lots more tongue-in-cheek comments like this given the bad sentiment out there...

Interestingly, 1 or 2 weeks ago on the DJR website, the fan poll to see if people wanted the series to remain Ford vs Holden only, or time to break away from tradition. Back then, the 2 car race was the most popular, today the winner is "time for a change".
