A Kiwi driver perhaps?
A very tiny article in todays Sunday Mail says Jnr stepping down to save the team and allowing another driver to come in and bring Wilson Security and Advam as major sponsors into the team.
Drivers name to be released later today

Even stranger without the name "JOHNSON" on the cars for the first time I can remember.
Seems a bit weird having two Wilson Security cars run out of different teams. I wonder if they got on board at a bargain price knowing the tuff position DJR are in?
I personally think its a sad day, no Johnson on the grid , first time in something like 40 years.
I hope Steve picks up a quality endurance drive that puts him in a position to show everyone what a fantastic driver he really is. I would love to see him in Frosty's car, they would be a very strong combination come Bathurst
I'm betting on [strike]Gaunt[/strike] Jonny Reid !
Great to see that DJR are still kicking and that they will field two cars with two young guys getting a steer. That being said, I cant help but be disappointed in the final result. What we have now is exactly what Charlie was trying to achieve 3 years ago. The only difference is that we have lost 2 crack drivers, a ton of personnel, a first class sponsor and loads of credibility in the process. DJR is now a shadow of its former self, even from 3 years ago, and surely DJ must be ruing his decision both emotionally and financially.
It will be very different this year, but I'm a glutton for punishment and once again cheer on DJR.
While this is true to an extent, it still doesnt make Charlie right. It just makes him the more influential party. Anybody can throw a tantrum, stamp their feet and cause as much collateral damage as possible on their way out the door. Even if doing so does end up in achieving the desired result in the end it doesn't mean one party was wrong, and the other right.
Don't get me wrong, both parties could have handled themselves much better, but the inability of the team to find its feet up until this point has likely got many different causes. Sure it probably makes Charlie feel somewhat vindicated too but I'm not sure that the end justifies the means.
The important thing is that DJR lives on, and damnit it is the only thing that keeps my interest going in a series which has completely lost touch with its roots for mine...
