Welcome to the all new DJR Club 17 website. We've brought a fresh new design and some great new software together on this site to help make it the one stop shop for everything DJR.
Please visit the forums, join our facebook group and share your favourite DJR photos and videos in the media gallery.
Don't forget to become a member of DJR Team Mates!

Is this what it has all come to?

  • 1. "Your knowledge and input is always welcome but please respect the team, the drivers and other members. Abuse or harsh criticisms will not be tolerated".

    2. "This forum is designated 'Family Friendly' - (ie. we have young & impressionable readers - even if they're not Members/Posters) - therefore language must be moderated! - (how would YOU feel about YOUR 9 year old reading it?)

    3. "Use of characters (eg. #$*@!) that only 'partially' disguise an intended vulgar/offensive word(s) is unacceptable!
If you MUST express yourself in such a manner... use ***** and let the reader's imagination 'fill in the blanks'."

    Thank you for your cooperation.

When did this happen ?

Queensland entrepreneur Maurie Pickering pulled out of a three-way partnership deal that saved the team late last year

Hmmm Karl Reindler as lead driver next year......

This is all just speculation and claims at this stage guys, I doubt DJR would have leased Fiore's REC if this was the case, Pickering would of had to have a major say in this.

I doubt things are all good at DJR but I doubt even more that things are anywhere near as bad as what is written in the Age.

No need to flog our team just yet as no official word has come out, everything written in the article is just rumours and cliams by our old mate A. Senior (aka "unnamed insider")

I guess this is not what we expected to see today

This article will not help in attracting sponsorship for the team but then if we believed everything that has been printed about DJR we would have been consigned the pages of history years ago.
Will believe it when its from an official and reliable source. (Dick himself)
Until then DJR lives on....[rt]

Meanwhile, . . . . Chucky has gone to court to keep the '18' and cites that he has liked that number since he was a young bloke watching John Bowe running it ,. . .that he is entitled to it,. . .

He also says,. . fans should be happy the 18 is staying on a Ford,

sorry dood,. . not on your falcon,. . . got me buggered how you think you're entitled to use a nomber which is so deeply entrenched as someone elses number by "likeing " it and buying an REC running that number for a couple of seasons, sorry in my book you're a petty minded revenge seeker looking for any little way to one up DJR. Definitely not the calibre of bloke you represented yourself to be at that first team mates night.[jk]

How DJR is cash strapped all the time is beyond me.
Why is it so hard for them (to attract sponsorship money) and even the lesser teams look to be doing it easier.

My understanding is that DJR are cash and asset poor, nothing left to sell off etc so it all comes down to sponsors.
If the end is near for DJR, it will be a bloody sad time when Australias longest running team is not on the grid.
V8supercars are great at changing cars, race formats and venues, all at the expense of the teams, maybe they need to assist with business structures, finding sponsors and managing the $$$, just because you are a motorsport champion doesnt mean you know how to run a good business
