Welcome to the all new DJR Club 17 website. We've brought a fresh new design and some great new software together on this site to help make it the one stop shop for everything DJR.
Please visit the forums, join our facebook group and share your favourite DJR photos and videos in the media gallery.
Don't forget to become a member of DJR Team Mates!

Is this what it has all come to?

  • 1. "Your knowledge and input is always welcome but please respect the team, the drivers and other members. Abuse or harsh criticisms will not be tolerated".

    2. "This forum is designated 'Family Friendly' - (ie. we have young & impressionable readers - even if they're not Members/Posters) - therefore language must be moderated! - (how would YOU feel about YOUR 9 year old reading it?)

    3. "Use of characters (eg. #$*@!) that only 'partially' disguise an intended vulgar/offensive word(s) is unacceptable!
If you MUST express yourself in such a manner... use ***** and let the reader's imagination 'fill in the blanks'."

    Thank you for your cooperation.

If we end up with a situation where we no longer have Steve driving and end up with two drivers that are bringing sponsors or paying for their drive, i hate to say it but i will be searching for a new team. It will be a bloody sad day as i have supported Dick since the early 80's and as a result supported Steve, but im not going to stretch the support to a couple of rich kids that are highly unlikely to get a sniff of the podium

Well someone needs to make up the numbers

If it means the DJR will survive then I guess taking on paying drivers is how it has to be. :(

Saw this elsewhere:-

Dick Johnson Racing will have both brand-new cars race-ready and in Adelaide, ready to compete.

Both of those cars will receive new liveries with corporate backing to be announced on Sunday.

A second driver has been signed to join Tim Blanchard. This driver has not been linked to DJR previously or in any media reports. We are very excited about having him behind the wheel this year and will be making that announcement on Monday.

There has been a management change at DJR HQ over the past few weeks. Scott Jennings has moved from the role of CEO with Steve Johnson assuming a General Manager role. Steve has taken to the role like a duck in water and the entire crew is loving having him around in a day-to-day capacity.

Yep all will be revealed in tomorrow's Tele. Not sure about the team loving having Stevie as GM. Just no other option really...

A very tiny article in todays Sunday Mail says Jnr stepping down to save the team and allowing another driver to come in and bring Wilson Security and Advam as major sponsors into the team.
Drivers name to be released later today

Also strange but not surprising is that Jim Beam despite "wanting to carry on as a minor partner of DJR" are not in the sponsorship honour roll...

Dick Johnson Racing is grateful for the support of their partners; Advam, Wilson Security, Crimsafe, Shell, Ford, Cool Drive, New Age Caravans, Cabcharge, Jaylec, Wiseman Lawyers, Scania, Q Automotive Group, HAAS, AlfexCNC, Earthex, PPG / Protec, Formula Digital, Macnaught, Mimaki, King Springs, BJ Ball Papers, Cynergy Printing, FIX Coffee and the DJR Team Mates

John Bowe making a come back ?

Knowing his tight links with Wilsons security that was my first thought as well. I'd probably say he may have helped put the marriage together. Although Wilsons were really laying out the red carpet for the Ford Big Wigs at Bathurst last year.....
