I remember Bargs used to have Capral alluminium as a personal sponsor a few years back, mabye they will tip in some dosh, apparently the management at Orconn still think fairly high of him too.

I'm starting to think the same RJ! I have a gut feeling he won't be with DJR next year & will indeed join his good buddy Russ at PMM.

It might be agood move for Steve. I think it would be good to see him prove himself somewhere other than DJR. I would still rather see him in a DJR FG though.

I would prefer to see him at DJR too, but as Ingall has proved, PMM does know how to build a good car, so these 2 drivers sharing data could be a bit of a force next year.

It is looking more and more likely that we will have 2 new drivers to support at DJR next year.

You're kidding, right? You do know PMM run commodores?

Steve Johnson in a commodore will make me cringe... First Radisich, then Seton, now Davison and Johnson...

Atleast good 'ol Bowey stayed true, and stayed blue.. :D

Bundy, some people here have never doubted Steve, some are disappointed with the way things have turned out. Some want whatever is best for DJR, not Steve.

With all the stories and theories doing the rounds......................
My head hurts.

I think I'd better lie down and have a Bex.

Steve in a commodore, faaaarrrrk, . . . . .never thought i'd see the day.

Me neither, but as he has stated clearly in the media recently, he has to look at his future in V8's and if that means driving elswhere, then that is what he will do. Steve has appointed a manger to handle things for him this year, so together they will make the best choice for his future. If he does end up going to the dark side, PMM would be a good choice from what we have seen in the last few rounds of the championship.

As a Team Mate, I personally will find it hard not to have Steve at DJR. The next couple of months will be interesting!

Sorry i can't shed any light on what 09 will bring for Jnr... I think in recent rounds he has showed with equal equipment he can match it with Will.

Maybe i could change the subject and we can talk about someone's new longterm deal with a new employeer in 09! And when i say longterm it is obserd, i can't see anyone staying in a job for that long....

I'll be happy if Steve is with DJR next year, he has had a big improvement in the second half of this season. After a good start at Clipsal he had some unlucky results.

I think you will find the equipment has been equal all year Bundy.

Nope... Will has had the new motor for alot longer and those cars are not the same. Will's car is alot newer then car 17 as well, but if you would like to believe all things are equal then so be it...

The difference between the two cars is four or five months. Will had the newer heads and camshaft fitted two rounds before Steve's car did. Both cars were running the same gear at Phillip Island and Bathurst but Steve did not get to drive #17 with the upgrades until Indy. Although the chassis appear to be a year apart in age Steve's was built at the end of 04 and Wills (Initially Glen Seton's) was built at the start of 05. I asked this question at the last test day and this is pretty close to what I was told.
