no mention from skaaffee about a championship defining moment, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i don't know how many times skaaffee and compo kept saying this race will be red flagged trying to persuade the officials returning the race to the last lap which lostcup was leading

It was horrible to watch them skating around and smashing up the cars, and really i couldn't believe they did not red flag it, . . . .

Great job from all the boys in the DJR garage, now that was Teamwork and it paid off, . . . well done

What did happen to steve, I thought he had 3rd sewn up???

How was the desperation that saw TR888OR just put a wheel on the car and send it out with no brakes and miss out by one lap, but . . . did anyone else see the near miss in the pits at the end when james stopped near a crowd of guys (I think from Frosty's garage) and whincup came in behind and ran up his arse,. . . . . . wonder if there'll be a penalty for that???

Go DJR. I am so happy that 'The Team' played a major role in today's outcome! I cried like 20 times during the race - so many up and downs, but what an awesome result for all three cars - 17, 18, 19!

Sorry to put a slight dampener on things, but apparently 888 are appealing Whincups DNF classification

see http://www.v8supercars.com.au/newsa...from-title/tabid/70/newsid/10785/default.aspx

Fingers crossed their appeal fails....

Well.... Not Quite !!!

[quotes from your link]:

"TeamVodafone was considering protesting the decision by officials to list Whincup as a non-finisher."

"...TeamVodafone had not yet reached a decision on whether to post a protest."

The slimey prick couldn't resist a dig though

“Unfortunately, the guys in race control had their eyes closed when Courtney’s car was being pushed backwards in pit lane, their crew not in the right attire etc during a refueling race.
“I don’t think that was particularly fair at all. We try and make sure that we stick to the rules in terms of getting the car out.

and

Dane says that it will be hard for Whincup to secure a third-straight title from here, but says that anything can happen.
“It makes it hard from here, but Courtney proved today that he can crash with the best of them,” he said.
“Maybe he can do it again … you never know.”

Him and Whincup are a PERFECT match

Agree or disagree, that is the end result. Just remember as DJR supporters, we know what it is like to have our backs against the wall and still get results.

This just means that when JC wins the championship tomorrow, it will be all that much sweeter!

I just hope that Scotty can give #18 a little tweak tonight so that JC can match Whincup tomorrow.

Yeah, well, it looked to me like once they put the car in the garage a mechanic was straight under it even before the jack covers and blocks were put under it, . . . Is that playing by the rules? How's the desperation? It's too late in the series to be picking out little incidents and trying to penalise other teams out of the points just because you couldn't get the job done, Roly, you big pussy.[rt][rt]

Of course it was a good result but I thought those top 3 were racing stupid in those conditions and couldn`t believe Courtney was actually prepared to chuck it in the wall rather than settle for second and let whincup go who would have ended up off the road himself anyway. Just so lucky that the Three of them all went off.
