Rob, try Murray Bridge Models - he gets everything and wil let yu pre-order, so he might be able to help with the Cobra. He is Mark Bryan (Bridge Model Cars) [bridgemodelcars@bigpond.com]. good luck.

It is an expensive habit - I have all of Seto's 1:43's, the helmets, about 5 of the 1:18's (still getting the rest) and a couple 1:64's. i also have the FTR transporter.

Anyone seen the latest of the DJR collection, 1988 ATCC winning Sierra?? One of the best so far...Next one to be released is the 78 Bathurst reverse Cobra. Only 3600 produced & apparently already sold out..

Has anybody seen a Classic Clarlectable Dick Johnson helmet anywhere? They're as rare has hens teeth. The only way Ive seen them lately is on e-bay in wood-based collection with the car.

seto18 are you a S.A. member?
The Bowe car was 1:32 I think.
Should have bought a few for you guys oh well. If the Boys Toys sale hits your town they had them.

Hi 05 - yes I am in SA. I will miss the chat for a week or so as I was lucky enough to score a trip to Queensland, so will be heading off to the races [8D].

I have only concentrated on Seton cars (you gotta put a limit on it somewhere :(). My Murray Bridge man is also a racer and he also trades in pre-loved models. He gets some good stuff in so you never know your luck. I also scored the signature series for Seto and some wooden base stuff. I have never seen anything for $10, so the Bowe car was a bargain. I will keep my eyes open for the Boys Toys sale.

DJR1718 - he may even be able to help you locate that helmet - I know he had some recently, but don't know if they were DJ's.

I have two of them, 1 on a wooden base and 1 as a stand alone. They a very nice items which are diecast not plastic.

G'day all, need your input here.

I'm just about to take the first step into Model Cars. (Mrs nascar12 has done well this time). I'll be officially receiving the car on Fathers day, but tonight I got a sneak preview at it before the youngn's surprise me on Sunday morning. It's a 2004 DJR Shell #17 signed by Jnr and Snr. I was stoked.

But, I have a slight problem and this is where I need your advise. The windscreen has been made with rear window demister bars across about 80% of its surface. Does anyone know if flaws on model cars make them more collectable or is it a dud and try to exchange it? Its a biante.

Would have I intended to sell it in the future? Most probably not, it being the last Shell / DJR car is why I like it, sentimental reasons.

As I said earlier model cars are new to me and would appreciate your advise.
Cheers

Folks, no need to reply to the above post, just been to the Biante site and it looks like all the late model Johnson cars have these lines on the windscreen. Stuffed if I know why.

Oh well folks, buyer beware etc... If there is a next time Carlectables may be the go.

The lovely wife gave me the 1/18 77 Moffat ATCC XB for farvers day!!

Did I mention before I love Coupes........Just need to get that darn Moffat Cobra..[8D]

Nascar12, I have the 2003 Shell #17 Biante which I wasn't happy with the quality of (doors don't shut properly, rear axle angle all wrong) so with the 2004 Shell #17, I went Classic & is a much much better model.

Next DJR model to be released is the 82 Bathurst Red Roo XE. Can't wait for that one !!!! Will look awesome in between the 81 XD & the 83 Tree XE....[8D][8D][8D]
