Just picked up both 2004 cars in 1/18, (the Classic Carlectable ones), what great models, i'm very happy DJR dropped Biante as a model maker of there cars, the classic models are heaps better in detail and finish.

You can actually get them from Biante as well oldxr, but agree with your sediments on the Classic one though, much much better than Biante..
The biggest problem I find with Biante lately oldxr is trying to find a model where the back doors actually close properly. Very poor detail from Biante of late me thinks..

How goods that 83 XE DJR1718, it has to be the most detailed model I've got in my collection which now consists of 27 1/18 scale model cars including every DJR model released so far..

And to show how crazy I am, I put mine in a display cabinet for the wife to look at 24-7... Although after 12 years of marriage she's starting to understand my total dedication of everything DJR & Ford..

You guys will not be interested in this but I emailed AMT the platic model co about making Monaros?GTOs and they said it will go to marketing to see if it is worth producing. May not be made but at least they are looking at it. I also suggested making old Monaros, GTs and Chargers as the Yanks are buying them now. We will wait and see.
It is a wonder they never made intercepters.

Has anybody ever bought transfers from 'Patto's Place'?

I've been thinking about buying some to put on some other models to tunr them into Allan Moffat's Fords. At the moment I can buy a 1/43 Lotus Cortina in metal for $40. Or a plastic '69 Mustang in 1/18.

I haven't had a look at the "official" 1:18 Mustang, but there's something about it doesn't seem right at the front... maybe if you cratchbuilt it from an exisiting plastic 'stang kit, it'd be just the duck's guts.

Have you seen the Geoghean Mustangs in 1/18 Henry?? Absolutely awesome & made by Classic Collectable's which are miles better than Biante at the moment...

No, I hadn't. A mate at work has quite a collection: he's been acquiring many of the Moffat collectables (he won't touch Brock ones, which is strange for a Holden man). There are so many great ones out there. I used to prefer to buy the big-scale Tamiya ones and put them together: I had Villeneuve's Ferrari 312T4 & the Jagermeister Porsche 934 in 1:12 scale.... awesome detail, but of course you can't get the local models in that series :(

Trouble with the scratch build is getting the right wheels, and sometimes the ride height.

You can also get the Interceptor as well they are made by Cavaler models. Seen some made up and the person has done a great job. There is also Jaycar that make Aussie cars as well but thirty bucks for a shell then have to buy a donor car for seats etc. Still tempted to get the HK panel van though as that was my first car I have plenty of spares from other kits may scratch build the rest. If any one is interested I will find the web site again and post it.
Seen a Walky Commie and it looked great.

I was at a toy sale on the weekend and they were selling number 18 Bowe Fords for ten bucks.
Do you think that would have been a good buy?
