My mother brought it for me in Nov at a store here in Canberra called Rock Wallaby, they also had Murphy and Kellys winning bathurst car as well. Only problem I have is that I cant buy any Kmart(Jumpers,T'Shirts) and no one can get them in they are Kmart store exclusive and the Kmart stores here dont stock them.(I have been trying for around 3 years)

Hi Brockies Mum nice to see you on the site - and yes Mitchell, the fun will well and truly commence - though with Murph 4th in the points, we had better be careful.

About 05 building the plastic one's.
I used to race slot car's (only form of motorsport i could afford)
As well as the lexcen bodied car's that were used on the circuit track's we use to run slot car drag's.
The bigger engined classes had hand made wire chassis and the slower and obviously cheaper classes had over the counter type chassis.
The coolest looking 1 was my 500sl Merc with massive drag type wheel's out back, cheese cutter's up front and massive wheelly bar's hanging out the back.Other very cool car's in the drag collection were. Gas Rhonda Fairlane Thunderbolt. Chevvy El Camino ute.
Gull Wing Merc. Boss 302 Mustang.
At the slot car centre they use to have a show and shine before the racing, each and every one of these car's won it at one stage or the other. The best job i did in making them was the original 500sl, that was until a big off and it got smashed up pretty good. Second time around i didn't have the patience i did the first time

For anyone who is interested the 2000 Qld 500 Johnson-Johnson Blue roof AU has now been released in 1/43 scale by Biante. Awesome detail & I can't wait for the 1/18 scale version to be released as the next model in the Dick Johnson Collection series in the next few weeks. Also has anybody noticed how valuable some of the Dick Johnson Collection cars have become?? The 84 XE after intial purchase price of $160 is now worth well over $400 & the RS500 Sierra have been sold for well over that price.

Can't help a bit of harmless promotion, but the DJR Race Shop is currently taking final orders for the Johnson/Johnson 2000 QLD 500 1:18 with the Blue Roof. The Race Shop also can arrange a signature on the car personally from Dick, as well as postage, so if this tickles your fancy, make sure you talk to one of the friendly staff down at the DJR Race Shop on (07) 3287 0123.

Thanks guys!!

2003 #17 in 1/18 scale now releassed & what awesome detail. From the bonnet latch to the gas struts to hold the bonnet up this is the best model made so far. Fits in perfectly with all the DJR collection so far but the downside is there is ONLY 1000 made. If anyone wants one they better hurry as they are selling VERY fast...

Biante only made 1000 models each of Steve`s & Max`s, reason, did`nt want to flood market still have to release `04 models yet.
Thats why classic carlectables did`nt release any `03 models, but they are doing `04 models.

Biante`s -Max Wilson`s `03 model approx 2 weeks away.

For anyone who is interested the 2004 1/18 scale versions of the DJR Fords (Both Shell & Fujitsu) are now available from both Biante & what I consider to be the better version, Classic Carlectables. Better be quick though as they are very limited numbers..
