Looks like the boys are struggling with the new cam?

Well, that's day 1 done and dusted. Seemed to finish a bit earlier than usual, with P4 over with by 2.30pm. And with only practice by the other categories going on, not that interesting.

Don't have much to say about today, not sure what the strategy was, or what tyres they were using. But the beers were cold!

Anyway, here are a few snaps from my vantage point today. Am in a marquee in the middle of the track, so can see probably 75% of the track.

And sorry, no luck with the grid blokes either.. I know, I'm sure you are all very disappointed!!

Steve Richards 22nd. He's starting up higher than normal maybe the stewards will do a drug test on him for performance enhancers.[crackup]

In the background during the interview with JC there were some Army blokes.
Did one of them have an eagle or a falcon?

Convert09

Not sure Gerry but if you look up the resident Army units in DAR you might find out. It will definately be a unit mascot. Many Army units have potent animals as their unit mascot. Those guys were obviously on some sort of promotion.

Boring???

Sorry to double up on the posts...they are completely unrelated.

I wonder how you all found the weekend's racing?? I don't want to sound like a sore loosing fan at all......I am being as objective as I can be but I thought this weekend was as boring as bat shit!!! I almost got the opportunity to go up there.....gee I am glad I didn't throw any money at it now. I think that track on control tyres is pretty boring television....hardly any passing opportunities...just not supportive of good racing.

This control tyre/soft tyre mix concept is a horses ass too.....what a joke. The end of the race where you watch guys gobble other guys up with no fight for positions is boring...I was lost for most of it.

V8SA need to make a decision about tyres and stop sitting on the fence...also they need to piss off these stupid bloody concepts like international driver rounds etc.....continuing like this makes the championship a farce...and I can't see myself remaining interested for too much longer if they don't get a bit more serious. The first move should be to settle on on tyre type.....hard or soft...just decide....the softs are better racing

aaron I do have to agree it wasnt the best racing this year.
But having been to hidden vallley for the V8's it really is a weekend to go to. Great weather really good viewing and best of all the city absolutely rocks that weekend. It really should be on the to do list as far as Aus meetings go.
