Good race for Will and Steve today, the way HRT are going we should be able to leap them easy into 3rd spot on the Teams Championship.
I think Price is imagining that HE was the main subject of Tims photo - the tool even gave a thumbs up!

Whincup toured behind Todd the last dozen or so laps yeasteday, really, to have someone outside of contention in front meant he didn't have to take a risk by making a move to pass because of the top three he was in front, I reckon if he does the same today in the next two it's all over isn't it.
Yeah, I tipped Toddler for my top 5 this round, and so far looking good. I'm happy to see him go well this round,as I've always liked him and thought him a good steerer.....can't say the same for his sister though.
I would have been happy to see Todd come into the light, and get the #18 seat at DJR actually.

One thing I noticed in Race 1 yesterday, Davo had no problems powering past Brighty. Goes to show that the DJR donk is a good thing, better than SBRE, and in a new chassis in 2009 should do well.

Further Matters arising from Race 1:
Following further investigations and an admission by Jim Beam Racing Car #18 Will Davison, that the car controller failed to maintain full control, releasing the car into the fast lane following pit stop, the Stewards imposed a Fine of $4,000, fully suspended until 31//12/08.
Well, it did look a bit messy, at least there wasn't a PLP applied post race. Although, I am finding it hard to be happy when Will goes alright at the moment. The only reason I want Will do well now is so that DJR can move up the teams championship ladder. Ah, the irony, Will leaves DJR to go to a worse performing team...

Day 3, No rain for the first time but it blew all day. This made for a fairly trouble free races. The DJR boys put on a very good show in both races, they have found the pace now. Dick was interviewed by the local commentator at one point and was quite pissed when asked about the driver line up for next year. He went on to say that even skaife could be his driver jokingly. Both I and the guy behind me chocked at that thought.
Dick went on to say that look out for next year, we will be the team on the move. I can't agree more, with the performance of this weekend is anything to go by. Will getting the fine is a bit unlucky, but at least they didn't take away his race result.
Storm in Norm Beechey made an appearance today which shocked most people. In other races John Bowe blew his engine in the camaro, he then jumped into a HQ only to have engine troubles in that. He showed he hasn't lost the touch making amazing pace out of the cars.
All up it was a great weekend, now it?s over the wallet can recover. I was in the DJR tent most days picking something up. Wasn't able to get a DJR panel so I go the next Best thing.
