Nonsense. I cannot fathom how anybody could be satisfied with the sort of performances the 'team' are trotting out. This isnt the olympics, its not a world stage, you are not a hero for simply making it to the top 20.

This isnt what the DJR legacy deserves, if this is the best they can do, then get out and stop doing harm to what legacy remains. Otherwise its only going to get worse from here as sponsors dry up and results get worse.

Stop doing what you are doing, it isnt working. It hasnt worked yet, thats not about to change. COTF isnt going to change it, COTF is not the great white hope. Something is seriously wrong with the team, the processes and the equipment. Its time to take a good long hard look at every position, proceedure and component, work out where it is falling in a heap and sort it out now, before you end up too far behind the 8 ball for next season too.

How does a car arrive in pit lane with the crew still in the garage?

Who was 'engineering' #17 (ie. talk'n to the driver) ?

Who was monitoring the telemetry ?

Especially cause even the commentary team knew the strategy before the race - get to the last 18, swap to softs and go for broke??

What's wrong with these headlines?

"Deano made up 3 spots from his qualifying position today at Sydney Motor Sport Park."

"Moff was the highest placed DJR driver today at Sydney Motor Sport Park, finishing in the same position he qualified in."

if anything happens to Dick i won't be.

To the detriment of the team to many in this team have lived off the free lunch and mediocrity seems to be the norm.

Time to move some of the dead wood.
Time to get a lead driver thats hungry for wins not Macca's and get some talent on the engineeering side

I'm in the same boat, I wouldnt support the team without DJ at the helm.

I'm reluctant to point the finger at anyone, driver, engineer or other. Thats for people far more qualified than me to do, but the most maligned element seems to also draw high enough esteem from people who have been there, done that and should know far better than me.

One thing is for sure though, the team does seem to inherit/attract plenty of people who get themselves into a position where they are allowed to act in a way which doesnt seem to be the teams best interests, you only need to see the damage inflicted by Mr Chalker in his time, no matter how well meaning his efforts may have been.

It confuses the hell out of me because while some say DJ is not hard enough on people and lets them pull the wool over his eyes to an extent, there are plenty of people who say the polar opposite and say that DJ is a hard bloke to work for. This is often pointed to as the cause of the seeming revolving door of engineers and support staff that move on to successful careers at greener pastures.

One thing is for sure, with the constant turnover of staff, while others less driven &/or driven by alterior motives are seemingly a protected species, the team is hardly likely to get the structure right and return to the levels that delivered the championship in 2010.

Every season seems to be a rebuilding season while the team lurches from one cleanout to the next. The fact that Jim Beam signed up for only a one year contract and the sponsorship pool at end of year is shallower than ever with so many deals coming up for renewal and so many sponsors already confirmed to be reducing or pulling out completely is concerning. The hope would be the mysterious 4th manufactuer, but given the instability and recent struggles, why would a manufacturer choose DJR?

The amount of talent that has gone through the DJR shed and is now elsewhere and performing, is staggering; both inthe driving field and the engineering area, but I think we all know you are laying the blame predominantly on Steve, this being his worst performing year ever,. . even in the cash strapped Westpoint years he did better consistantly.

If you can believe rumours that he won't be driving next year except maybe enduro's and taking over management full time acting in a role we haven't seen Dick 100% into for at least 4 years, maybe that will be the improvement this team needs.

If Dick was considered "Moody" ( based on the two descriptions of him above) then Steve has to be even more so going on my experiences at test days and functions, but having said that as team manager he really just has to have a direction in which he leads the team and be consistant in setting goals and putting in place measures to achieve them. if Charlie with his polarising of the Team could acheive in twoyears a championship win, then another full time manager should be able to get some top 10 rsesults on a consistant basis.

If Steve replaces Dick as team manager and they can get someone the calibre of Burgess as the main man in the garage and provide him with staff who can get their jobs done, maybe we will see something on the track to cheer about.

Just a hypothisis, but I'm coming round to believing it's Time Steve hung up the gloves.
