Seto to HRT....what have you done?

Thats right Tom, we're all bad Bast'ards for trying to make light of an untenable situation, I assume you read right from the start of this thread, where it was discussed that His choices must have been severely limited to have gone accross.

Anyway, his book will undoubtably be a best seller, so good luck on that one.

Are you sure Glenn's writing a book, or are you just winding us up? If so, I want to be first in line to buy it! I look forward to reading what Glenn has to say, if true.

I have to admit despite what I have been saying I still have a soft spot for Seto'. I will come clean and admit that I have been trying to wind up a couple of people and to their credit(not Ford Credit) they haven't taken the bait!

I'll follow Seto to where ever he wants to driver, but a Seto win in a HRT is just not going to be as sweet as a Seto win in a Ford. As Bowe once said (I do belive after the 1995 tap with Seto) " these are the emotional-less facts" (or somethign like that).

But if it comes this year, I'll take it away!!

And people want to know why I have the **** at Ford. They cant even return a ****en phone call!!! Even just to say "thanks, but we cant help you"... Just common manners would have been nice from Ford!

And this is from Seto's month, it is not just a rumour that Ford could be stuff return his phone calls, it is fact!! A holden win is sounding sweeter all the time!!

Dont worry.. I'm not going anyway! I've been saving form my XR6 Turbo for way to long, to change to Holden now..

I just better not see a GSR Holden running around the race track any time soon..

It also seems that maybe Seto did have other optiosn with several other Ford teams (uncluding SBR) but choice HRT.. The humanity I tell you..

Having thought about it more rationally, Seton's at the point in his career, where he has to take what he can, while he can, to put himself in a competitive car and situation.

SF, if it's true that Seton turned down a drive at SBR to drive with HRT, if I was a Seton supporter, I would be very disappointed with what he has done & taking the drive with that grubby mob down south.

But does anyone know the real story???

I've heard same many stories now, I've given up on the knowing the truth... seems everyone is a friend of someone close to Seto :D:D:D

A couple of things have been said to me recently and it wasn't Ford that wasn't returning the phone calls it Seton.
SBR wanted him back and Seto basically said no thanks.

So Seto i'm back to my 95 point of veiw.

I am shattered. I have supported Seto for more years than I care to think about (it is my birthday Sunday and I am feeling old[V]), but basically I have been a fan since he began. This hurts. I am proud of not biting back Jason, but those red pants.......the humanity.:(:(

I asked Glenn about a book at the end of 2005 when he had been given the flick by DJR and he thought it was a good idea then, so it will be an interesting read from a driver who has had the opportunity to drive pre this farce they now call v8 supercar.

At the end of 2006, the rumour was that SBR wanted Ambrose back for the enduros so I wondered then if Mr. Seton was out if work, but given Marcos's comments about the category, I still had some hope. Will anyone ever know the truth - who knows, but it is shattering.[V]

I suggest you by a copy of AA & read the REAL story from Glenn Seton himself!!!

Ford never returned his phone calls.. End of story!! As this has come straight out of Seto's month.. No firends of friends, striaght from the horses month..

Seto is also disppionted in the way Ford have treatded him.. I guess there is only so much Seto can take.. He is human!!

Why is it the "real" story because Glenn says so? You know what they say JOe, theer are 2 sides to every story. Did Glenn ever tell the "real" story about what he did to Bo'?

I read that article in AA & to me it left me with more questions then the 'story' answered!!

*By the sound of it, Glenn rang Ray Price once, who apparently was on anuual leave & never knew of the message so obviously never returned the call..

*Why did Glenn only ring Ray Price??? Why wasn't he talking to Ford Team owners about a drive in 2007??

*Did Glenn have talks with the boss's of Holden or only the supposedly owner of HRT??

*Why does it always come across that Seton is hard done by??? I'm sure he's not the little innocent victom he always makes out to be..

Trying to read between all the lines here, to me it sounds like SBR gave Seton the flick, similar to DJR & FPR. Glenn probably had talks with 888 who obviously showed no interest & Skaifey then has made an offer which included, the enduro drives, the ride car deal & support for his young fella in Karts.

The problem for Glenn started when he sold his team GSR to FPR, which then gave up any opportunity he had, to control his own destiny! From all reports he is not the easiest guy to work with from what we have heard in some of the reports with FPR, from George at DJR who doesn't seem to hold him in to higher reguard, & now Ross & Jimmy who didn't give him a 2nd invite for 2007.

We'll just have to see how he goes at HRT I guess & after reading elsewhere that he lapped Winton a solid 2 seconds slower then other competitive times of the day on tuesday, it will be intersting to see where he lines up in 2008. But one things for sure, while he's driving for the team with the red hot pants, he won't get any support from me!!!

Sorry, by "real" I mean Seto's real story!! Not rumours on 100 different forums from friends close to Seto!!
