Seto to HRT....what have you done?

  • 1. "Your knowledge and input is always welcome but please respect the team, the drivers and other members. Abuse or harsh criticisms will not be tolerated".

    2. "This forum is designated 'Family Friendly' - (ie. we have young & impressionable readers - even if they're not Members/Posters) - therefore language must be moderated! - (how would YOU feel about YOUR 9 year old reading it?)

    3. "Use of characters (eg. #$*@!) that only 'partially' disguise an intended vulgar/offensive word(s) is unacceptable!
If you MUST express yourself in such a manner... use ***** and let the reader's imagination 'fill in the blanks'."

Well I suppose I'm a bit different, I'm firstly a DJR fan then a Ford fan. I would support Dick if he went to Holden, but I would have to think long and hard about it if he went to TWG.

I am with you Pete, I am really struggling with Seto' going to TWPG. If it were any other Holden team I feel I would cope much better, but right now I am not able to support Seto' in his bid for Bathurst win.

The only problem with Holden is, if you're not in a TWPG Holden you might as well stay in a Ford... I don't like the ****ers either, but if you're going to drive a Holden you really do need to be in one of those TWPG things if you want to win!!

Hit it on the head there Joe! It's long been a source of frustration that there are so many Fords fighting among themselves, and the works Holden squad ust seem to slip through the scrimmage. At least I s'pose, it we could nobble the TW brigade, we'd just about have it to ourselves! :D

Well, Bairdo's there as well, isn't he? Not like the lunch stints are going to be overly electric...

A day later and the shock still has not settled. I do agree guys. I could cope if it was just a Holden team but it is that team. It is just so tough. You support someone for many many years, through good and bad, famine and feast and he turns and does this. Seto is part of the reason I am a Ford gal (at least I still have DJ - thanks); the other is that my father is a Holden man (need I say more..).

I am sitting in a room covered in Seto memorabilia and I am disgusted.[xx(] I CAN NOT </u>support that team, so I guess for the first time in over 20 years, I won't be wanting Seto to win Bathurst.

It is going to be a long year.:(:( Thanks guys.

I do appreciate the pain of all the Seto/Ford fans here, but really it's only for 2 races. I hope you are the first Holden home, Seto......behind about 15 Falcons that is!!!!

I wouldn't worry too much, there is no way HRT will have him back for 08.
:D Not sitting on the fence, George? That's bound to ruffle a feather or two, but realistically, it's my thought that his chances have come and gone.

Might muse on this in the "Chat" sub-forum for a while....

I once said that I forgave him for '95, but I haven't forgotten it. Much the same as many people will never forget what TWPG did at PI last year.

Seeing him in that ssssuper ssseckssseee red suit just brought all those old feelings back!

Let's not be too critical of Glenn's decission.Ford has been loyal to him, as he has to Ford.He is still passionate about the sport and will continue to be involved, even though this year it's with the other mob.
I consider myself a mate of Glenn and only a week ago he informed me that the Motorsport manager at Ford would not return his call.He was not dirty, and understands their business strategy.I think all Ford teams, except the factory team, will find it increasingly difficult to get the funds they have been use to.
I wish him all the best and cannot wait for his warts and all book, to be released later in the year,on Motorsport in Aust. There is no doubt going to be a chapter on his year at DJR and his relationship with certain members, not Dick,of management!
Cheers
Tom
