Absolutely no way in hell that the results on Sunday were orchestrated or fixed in any way... Craig would not do that, and if he was instructed to than I agree with 4EVER17, he will not drive for 888 next year.

If you heard the tone on CL's voice on the radio with a couple of laps to go when told that GT was catching and he replied 'I can see that' I knew something was wrong.

Don't get me wrong i am not sleeping with Craig or anything, but he is in my opinion the single most important person underlying the success of V8 Supercars as we see them today.
His charisma puts thousands of bums on seats each year (mostly our girlfriends and wives mind you). He is undoubtedly the posterchild of the sport.
Furthermore, to be as successful as he has been over his career and still maintain the respect of all of his peers is no mean feat (Ambrose etc made many an enemy).
He is one of the good guys, and these rumors are not good for the sport...!

Sure you're not a closet tr888or fan.

Lowndes is good but he's not the Messiah.

I don't for one minute believe that he threw it.

CH7 said on the news that the wheel was loose .
Dane and Walkinshaw hate each others guts. Dane wants to make Tom look silly and by winning races is the only way he can.
It also gives him more leverage when it comes time to take over HRT or switch to Toyota.

Everyone can here what is said on anyones radio. As if he was told to let #2 pass on an open air wave. Goose

Exactly, no way that the result was fixed.
I couldn't give a flying f#ck who won the race, and no I am most definitely NOT a fan of 888. At the end of the day though, Lowndesy has played a big part in convincing my girlfriend to spend all of our money traveling around Australia to go to races. And I know I am not alone there.

THEIR IS NO WAY THAT THE RACE RESULT WAS FIXED.......

Its something that happens in racing.

I think Dane would be embarrassed by the way they did come second to Tom, after all they are trying to out do one another.

Personally, I reckon it was a set up, ok.

I don't think craig has any choice in it, he just has to do what he's told, but we're dealing the the top two grubbs in any form of motorsport and a manufacturer that is happy to take wins when they came from less than legitimate tactics on a regular basis.

Craig said a tyre was flapping and now we have the loose wheel story ? wtf !!

When craig turns the car at the end of the race, and you can see it rotating at full lock, even in frame by frame, there isn't a mark on it, and it cretainly isn't moving around at all.

Truth being more curious than fiction ? maybe. just maybe .

craig in a Ford again next year? I would like to see it.

Well TS if he was told to throw it i'm sure he would be looking at getting out of his Team Vodafoney contract

Did they show the offending wheel that is meant to have caused all the trouble??? Until i see the evidence i will keep a reserved opinion.

Surely they have some sort of evidence over there at Channel Skaife.

Whats the go with a race scrutineers inspection of some cars after a race? Does it only get done if a team disputes an outcome? If no team disputed T8 , then no inspection of the front tyre and no one will ever know - is that it?

No one should be shocked by the suggestion that the end was rigged, its been happening on and off for decades, and at the end of the day, money is behind it in one form or another.

Where i was sitting at the track on Sunday most were shouting out Rigged,Rigged,Rigged, if it was a tyre delaminating was it done on purpose?

How... EXACTLY... could you 'arrange' for a tyre to delaminate at a specific point in time??? [sh]

I agree, these things happen, look at FPR at bathurst on 2007, they were super fast all day then the rain came and it was all over......was that rigged?

The answer to that is NO, so how can people sit their and say it was rigged when clearly the tyre gave in. If it was rigged on the other hand i wont not see CL so upset they was he was, even on the podium he wasn't happy........

Not rigged, just plain unlucky. However the stench that has so often wafted off of that little scottish turd, his mates at Holden and now Tr888er people could be forgiven for having their doubts. I just don't see CL giving it up so easily.

where is the proof it was a tyre... i thought the sound effects when they interviewed Lowndes was the car on the Pit Lane speed limiter.

I heard from a bloke today that claims his mate was at the race and as soon as it had finished the Tr888ors took the car into the garage and immediately removed the tyres of the car and put them into the truck.
Read into that what you will.

There is no evidence either way, to say that it was bad luck or BS, however, there could have been so easily.

When the car turned in you could see the tyre on the RH Front rotate at least one full rotation, and there was not a mark on it, if it was to the point of "Flapping" you'd expect to see something.

I think the race outcome was bought by Holden for HRT as a Bonus with the Buying of Tr888or, and if the same scenario happens at bathurst, get ready for a car 88 engine misfire or something until car 2 goes by.

Everyone can believe what they want about this because there is innsufficient evidence either way.

I am pretty sure on the telecast they said it was the Front Left.
Skaife said today on Extra that he saw the tyre and it was shredded the whole carcus and it was delaminating

Ok , that must be true then, because Skaife is impartial and in no way associated with Holden. . . . . right,

still not convinced, I'm sure almost every team had a delaminating tyre in the garage .
