Helmut Marko[jk] is the clown that gave Lowndes a hard time when he went to Europe. He even favoured Monkey Montoya over Lowndes! He seems to have a thing about Aussies! How anyone could blame Webber[bw] in any shape or form for that incident is beyond me. If I were Mark I would have told them to stick their contract for next year where the sun don't shine. Clearly the kraut is the favoured driver in that team and Webber will struggle playing second fiddle.

Another interesting thing is the team telling Webber[bw] to slow and conserve fuel where Vettel[jk] it seemed didn't have to. Oh thats right I forgot Vettel is a much better driver and did a better job of conserving his fuel! If the team I was driving for kept pulling stunts like that, every time my team mate came within cooee of me I'd take him out, not that Mark did that of course!

Hamilton wins Canadian Grand Prix

MONTREAL: Lewis Hamilton won the Canadian Grand Prix for the second time in four years, holding off McLaren teammate Jenson Button at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve to take the season points lead from Mark Webber.
Hamilton, who raced to his first F1 victory in 2007 on the track, also won two weeks ago in Turkey in the previous race. The 2008 series champion started from the pole enroute to his 14th career victory.

http://www.formula1.com/
Hamilton took the lead from Red Bull's Webber on the 50th of 70 laps as the Australian pitted for the second time after giving up considerable time on badly worn tyres.
Button, also second in Turkey, finished 2.2 seconds back.
Ferrari's Fernando Alonso was third, followed by Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel and Webber.
The Australian qualified second fastest but started from seventh position after the routine penalty for changing a gearbox.
Hamilton's win means he now leads the drivers' championship on 109 points ahead of Button on 106. Webber dropped to third with 103 points followed by Alonso on 94 and Vettel 90.
In the constructors championship McLaren extended their lead over Red Bull to 22 points.

Webber lucky to to come out of a big accident without a scratch. Ran up the rear of another car and somersaulted over it.

What I want to know is how is a car that is around 3 seconds a lap slower than webber "defending his line"

Mind you , webber had no reason to draft him either and yet he did.

Crazy stuff, and a lucky lucky man.

That ****er was defending and when Webber went the other way so did he.

He'd be cleaning his teeth through his arse if it was me

Webber's just missed out on pole by a whisker running all the old gear, that should tell you how much better than Vettel he really is.

I'm sure Horner shows up at the gay Mardi Gras each year with Vettel

That sucks , Webber should turn Vettel around and then say to Horner that with the old wing i understeered into the back of him

Do you think Mark Webber is p***** off a little.
Team radio intercept after end of race

Christian Horner "Well done Mark you have won the Silverstone Grand Prix"

Mark Webber "Not bad for a #2 driver"

Christian Horner "So do you think you will smile now"

Just goes to prove from his last comment that Horner is a total [jk]

Well done Mark a class above the rest. Did it so easy.

After a comment like that i'd being bashing Horners teeth so far down his neck he'd need to brush them through his backside

Well done Webber show them clowns who's the real #1 driver

That's just the best way to show the team who has a balls to get the job done!
First by not letting the little snivelling one get his way at the start and then by doing fast lap after fast lap and winning!!
Go Webber!!! [bw]

Q & A from the F1 official site....

Given Red Bull have said that whoever leads the championship will have priority, will you get the better bits on the car in Hockenheim?

MW: Should do. I should do. Yesterday was a really unique situation. It was the first time that the team had really had one component. Honestly I would never have signed a contract again for next year if I believed that that was the way it was going to be going forward. That’s why I was disappointed yesterday and was honest with you guys. Let’s see how it goes in the future but I just keep doing what I do and hopefully it’s enough.
