0:00.6981 Sec off of a record setting lap by Sj & 0:00.4256 by Will Says it all.Does any one know where that would have put them last year? Can`t wait to see the cars on TV but so far the colour scheme of JmBeem cars has really grown on me and Yes possibaly best of the bunch.The way Cold Cans Rolls at the front gives an agressive Look also......On the Holden Side Dumbrell is going to be the one to watch.He hit the wall in first practice session and still managed a top 10.

JBR are fast in the warm-up. Will 2nd and Steve 4th. Can't wait for the race.

Glad both DJR cars finished in the top ten... Lucky though, don't think they wouldn't have if Courntey and Tander didn't have issues.

Kind of lucky to be where we are at the moment I think.
Just didn't have the pace in the first race. Will and Steve kept dropping off the back of whoever they were following. Even after the re-start, Steve drifted off the back of Richo by a couple of seconds over about 6 laps.
They need to find the sweet spot to improve tomorrow and the rest of the season.
In saying that, it was a good solid drive by both guys and we have 2 straight cars to fight with tomorrow.

WTF is wrong with Paul Morris? 4 laps into the new season is all it took him to get the first drive through, then he tries to tell us that these young blokes need to spend more time in the development series.

LOL,good read early Sun morn you guys.Didn`t get to see much yesterday
and only got to see bits & peices on Bigpond but Courtny`s got to be a bit of a tosser as well,He blew it from what i saw.A 5 second lead and he couldn`t wait 1/2 a sec to get J Richards up the road a bit.[?]
Club 17 is my first source of info when cranken up computer first thing,so don`t really know what happend to JmBeem cars except that sometimes they seem to loose positions drastically during the pit stops,Seen a peice of action just before the end of race with Steve Muscelling up the inside of Will and all hell about to break loose behind them[?]I seem to recall a few occasions where Wills car is Quick at beginning & Steves Slow & then things reversing themselves by race end.Would have loved to have seen the hand bag fight[

Don't know Poita. Below is the Stewards report from race 1. Copied from CAMS site.
As far as Courtney is concered, I beleive that he is a gifted driver and one of the best in the feild. However I have seen him do some of the most stupid things during a race. Unfortunatly being a good driver is not enough and until he can think and drive at the same time he will continue to underacheive.

STEWARDS UPDATE 2: 0900hrs Sunday 24th February
Matters Arising from Race 1:
The Stewards imposed a Pit Lane Penalty on Paul Morris Car #67 for a driving infringement on Andrew Thompson Car #50.
Following an investigation and an admission by James Courtney Car #4 that he had breached the Code of Driving Conduct (contact with Greg Murphy Car #51 on Lap 52) the Stewards reversed the finishing order for Car #4 and Car #51.
Following an investigation and an admission by James Courtney Car #4 that he had breached the Code of Driving Conduct (driving infringement on Todd Kelly Car #7 at Turn 5 Lap 74) the Stewards imposed the penalty of a PLP time of 22 seconds to be added to the Leg 1 time for James Courtney Car #4.
The following matters were investigated, no breach of rules established:
? An incident involving Paul Dumbrell Car #16 and Rick Kelly Car #15 at Turn 11.
? An incident involving Jamie Whincup Car #88 and Mark Winterbottom Car #5 at Turn 9.
