Well I was going to come on here and have a huge vent of my frustrations and disappointments, but, no need you guys have pretty much covered it all off.

Hard luck Jnr, you were robbed, good on Burgo to do his best to stick it to the officials to get it reversed, but bean counters will only ever be bean counters and as long as there as policies or rules on paper that these tossers can cover their arses with, we can forget about common sense forever.

4th in the champoinship is very good for Jnr, but could have been sooooo much better.

OK It's my turn!

Who the F#@K is Tim Sphincter? This C#@t is the common denominator. He is the F#@king race director and couldn't F#@king direct his dick towards the toilet. We finally get rid of Bond and we still have the same problem. So as far as I am concerned we have to go back to the man in charge...Sphincter!

Who is this "Judge of fact" we keep hearing about? These F#@kers need to be held accountable. How many times has a "judge of fact" been proven wrong on video evidence? How many more times before someone does something about it?

In a sport where teams are being (and are expected to be!) more professional, we still have F#@KING amateurs for officials. It is time Cochbrane invested some of OUR cold hard on making the sport more professional and more accountable.

Finally whoever the F#@KING hoonstopper was that made that call must have their F#@KING eyes painted on and that Steve Mother-F#@king Brow has his ears cement F#@KING rendered!

Have you got the shits Henry??

I never would have guessed it.
:D Yeah, nearly threw a couple of empty stubbies at the crystal bucket yesterday. I cannot believe that so many people could be so stupid when it comes to handling heavy racing cars on their braking and cornering limits. Too many people wanted to dispute the Turn 9 braking area when the attacking car was right on its braking performance limit... and too many more went in there too hot, looking to bounce their car back on line courtesy of the poor sap on the outside (aka Junior/Tander). Too many people wouldn't concede a corner as lost to the faster car. In my books, that's far too many people letting their cars drive them... and the Fujitsu and Ute races showed how dangerous an out-of-control race car can be.

quote:Originally posted by bigcolThe best thing about the weekend is how f#@king pathetic HRT were.
Yeah, I enjoyed that a little bit myself. Well, alright, I had wood happening.

Enjoyed Holdsworth's pace, felt quite chuffed for McConky, even though I don't rate him and was still sore that it wasn't #17 up there.

On an aside, after sitting at the track over the weekend, and checking out the new paint jobs, I came to a realisation. The reason that the PMM cars are fluro yellow, is that, like a safety vest, you know where they are at any given time, and can try like hell to avoid them!! Well done to Paul Morris for getting the first drive thru of the year.

No surprise with these penalities either.

Following an investigation and an admission by Paul Morris Car #67 that he had driven in a careless manner, contact with Safety Car in Pit Lane, the Stewards imposed the penalty of a reprimand.

Following an investigation and an admission by Greg Murphy Car #51 that he had used bad language on TV, the Stewards imposed a $5,000 fine, totally suspended until 31/12/08

Following an investigation and an admission by Paul Morris Car #67 that he had engaged in conduct prejudicial, namely uttering foul language over TV broadcast, the Stewards imposed a Fine of $10,000 with $8,000 suspended until 31/12/08

?At this stage I?m not allowed to talk about it because there?s a court case pending,? said Brian Walden. ?The car that we purchased was taken off us at the last minute. We went to Brisbane; took the truck up there to pick it up to go to Adelaide and [the team] turned around and sold it to somebody else.?MMMMMM,Things that make you go Mm

I really can't imagine that many people being so keen to get their hands on an in house wps chassis, nor the ex wps ex 00 motorsport buckets of bolts. For the 3 chassis to have been sold (at least 2 of which must have been reasonably race ready) so that the poor old Waldens had nothing to show up with seems a bit coincidental to me.

On a completely different note, a quote from Burgess in one of the press releases has stuck in my mind
quote:
?We have certainly made quite a large improvement since this time last year with the cars and to get both cars home in the top 7 is a good start. The pit stops were disappointing, particularly Will?s where it cost him a lot of time but it is a long championship and we?re quite happy with the pace of the cars, so we?ll give it our best shot tomorrow to get on the podium?, Burgess said.

The 'it's a long championship' bit sticks in my mind a bit because it really seems to be the most positive comment to come from a race report from DJR in a long long while. It almost reads as if they are pretty confident that they have made a genuine breakthrough with the cars performance and that they will be in the championship mix.

What?! DJR in the top 5??!!! NO NO!! We couldn't possibly have that. V8 Supercars is the sh#thole of Australian sport with decisions like that. I wouldn't piss on those &*^%# if they were on fire.
If it wasn't for DJR I'd never watch again.
I hate Garth Tander,

Team Owner, Paul Cruickshank:?We were heading for an honest top-five finish today before the Brake Valve failure in the restart. The fifth safety car was called and Coulthard sprang into fifth position with a couple of shunts and a broken rear-windscreen in tow.But the team?s dream-run came to a holt on the restart, the Glenfords Supercar experiencing Brake Valve failure.
Driver, Fabian Coulthard:?There was crushed glass all over the car; in both the passenger and driver?s-side foot wells. Glass dust became jammed and it wouldn?t allow the brake pedal to return.Says it all! Where is Our Podium Points,You Punces?????

Actually I thought with Mezera on board ( he is reputed to be fair, 100%) things would be on the improve, I mean these Fackers have more video footage to view than anyone, including access to all TV cameras and all in car cameras, so how the hell can they keep on F^$%#%ng it up so bad.

Just another nail in V8 supercars coffin.

You guys have summed eveything up perfectly & the only thing I can add is 'when are we going to grab our slice of luck'???? Thats all we need right now & we'll grab a result. When was the last time our cars were running 5th or 6th, & 2, 3 & 4 all take them selves out which moves us up to 2nd?? ala Team WOW. Never freaken happens does it???

We just need a slice of luck guys!!

It was a shame to see Junior ripped off twice but it was a good drive & the cars were showing pace so looking positive for the rest of the season.

I noticed that on the V8Supercar website that R.Kelly is listed as 3rd in the Championship. It has been like this for a couple of days now, but I can't find any stories about a change in results from the weekend. Is this a stuff up or has something happend?

I think its just the points DJ Fan, like Steve did not finish as high as fourth in either race but he is fourth in the points as it is a commulative round.

does that make sense??

for example, Jo Blo could have DNFed on Saturday and scored zero points, but if for example he won on Sunday he would be the Clipsal champion but not the championship leader cause he scored no points on the Saturday.

weird.. i know... but does makes sense.. to me anyway...

Sorry. Your right. And I know how the points system works but for some stupid reason I keep expecting to see McConville in 3rd even though I know he had a DNF in race 1. Bit of brain fade I suppose.[sh]
