Thge rain seems to ahve made the racing a little more bearable today, good work by Jono Webb and Steve who's consistancy served him well amongst all the bash and dash.

I heard the question asked about a drive through for the unsafe release of Craig Lowndes, . .but honestly isn't spud a dickhead, that neve had to happen he just kept ploughing through and reminded me of his disgusting punting of Ambrose on the mountain, i reckon Spud should have got a penalty for reckless driving after the contact for not pulling out of the throttle.[jk]

I understand what you're saying TS, however the 'rules' are, that the onus is on the driver/team merging into the 'fast lane' to do so without contact!
If CL hadn't needed to 'clear' the red cone, he would have merged in OK. That's where having your pit @ the exit tends to 'bite'.

I think it is more the 888 attitude.... just expecting everyone else to yield to them and get out of their way

Oh yeah I agree with you both, Craigs car controller probably looked at the line of cars coming , realised they'd taken too long to get the service done and released him anyway,. . . .

Then I also heard that all the teams had approached race control and had the rule changed so that a bit of biff and bang was ok getting out of the pits , . .

My deal was not the innitial bump it was the driving into him by spud that could have well involved the whole line up of cars (as it did that time at Bathurst) becaus ehe just didn't pull out of the throttle once he'd made his point by holding his ground.

I just thought it was typical of spud to do that and that he's a dickhead, Tr888or are too, and they got the penalty they deserved for it, i think spud should have got a toilet break too.

I thought Steve drove well again. He stayed out of trouble and still showed a bit of aggression. I don't think his car was as good in the dry as it was in the wet or drying conditions. Mini Moff drove well until whatever happened. Does anyone know why he DNF'd?? Once again Channel Holden didn't show many cars other than 888 or HRT.

I still can't believe that 888 released Lowndes into that row of cars. Murph didn't have to turn him around either but that is pretty much what you expect from him.[jk]

Jono Webb was awesome in the wet. It looked like he was running a wet set up and if it had rained a bit more towards the end, it may have been a repeat of Homebush.

Is it possible to have a whole team as the tosser? If so next week should be GRM. The decision to send Holdsworth out on slicks was about as dumb as HRT throwing a bucket of water on the windscreen at Sandown all those years ago.

Will looks to be settling in well at FPR. He may give Frosty a bit of a hurry up.

Power steering went on Moffat's car but they got him out in time to be classified as a finisher.

Second race was one of the better races I have seen in a long time, except for all the bloody H*****s up the front.

Get used to it Pete.

The only ones that are going to challenge the hordes of Holdens are the FPV boys

As sad as it sounds people, I think Whincup will have this title all but wrapped up with 3 rounds to go. Lets hope Frosty can find a little bit more.

Just a question, where are Holden going to find a spot for Frosty if he gets the #1. Retire Ingal or Todd Kelly maybe. Any thoughts...

I thought Rusty drove well for an old bugger, Todd, I wouldnt be surprised to see him take on more of a Team Management role next year, as for spud, I reckon he's over it..

Will Davison 4 me.

He is going to be unstopable once he gets the GP under his belt.

Stevie J got some good points and if not for the 25 point penatly would be 11th and in front of Courtney. The engineering side of things with all being considered seem to be a lot closer to the mark with concistancy, so hope they can improve it a little and Sj be right up there

It was great to read in the Melbourne paper this week that Whincup gave the team a serve after making him conserve fuel on the Saturday preventing him from winning, as he finished with plenty in the tank.
Does this wanker honestly believe that it is all about him? Lets be honest, 888 cars have been the benchmark for a number of years now and having the right gear, and the full support of the team sure helps win races, if he is half as good as he thinks he is then why didnt he win the championship when he was with Tasman?
He needs to step down a few steps, he's had too much success too quickly and now he has to deal with squeeing that big head of his in his helmet.
I love nothing better than watching a good, hard, fair race, but at the moment i would get more enjoyment out of a few panel crunching driving errors from Whincup.
