    Thank you for your cooperation.
The chat about the unofficial start of the V8 season has been a bit quiet, so thought I would get it rolling.

So far, the weather is looking reasonable, although a few days out, the forecast is likely to change. The 10 day forecast (from www.weatherchannel.com.au/WeatherMap#SA/Adelaide-Metro/ADELAIDE ) is looking like this:
Thursday – Partly cloudy, max 27 C,
Friday – Partly cloudy, max 30 C, 3mm rain likely
Saturday – Few showers, max 23 C, 7mm rain likely
Sunday – Fine, max 28 C, 4mm rain likely

My predictions:
Jnr to have a good run, providing strategy calls fall his way. If he shows the speed and aggression that he showed at Abu Dhabi, could surprise a few.
Moff to finish around 15th for the weekend. The cooler weather will be in his favour, as he is still to get race conditioning for the longer races.

The rest:
JC to talk it up, and end up in the wall at turn 8.
Roland Dane to have a whinge about something, anything.
Murph to DNF in the first race.
Rick Kelly's balls to finally drop.
FPR to manage mistake free pit stops. Wait, who am I kidding, that's not likely.

So, yep, I'm heading down there this week, is anyone else?

No Go! 4 me.

But I can't bloody wait for this weekend, it seems like an eternity and even though the series has started......It doesn't really feel like it has. Also looking forward to seeing Djr cars in there true livery for this year. And of course a Victory!

So, Practice is on Friday and then straight into qualifying on Sat morning? That puts the pressure on a bit.

No need to post all those "grid Guys" pics you're going to be taking PB, but a few of the cars would be appreciated . . .[crackup]

Looking forward to this season "officially" starting. :D Having the first race overseas then a break just doesn't feel like the season has actually got underway yet.

The breaks between races is not good for the fans, they should condense the series so there is racing every few weeks. This will also help them stay in the media like the AFL does. Actually the AFL seem to be able to stay in the media even when they are not playing, we need to take a leaf out of their book in regards to playing the media.
Bring on the Clipsal 500, i can't wait.

you mean by screwing around with 17 year olds in dodgy hotels.. that will always guarantee you to stay in the news in the off season

Now I know how they make their money at clipsal. I have been going for a few years now, and like everyone, expect to pay a bit more for food and drink.

This year, you are unable to buy an alcoholic beverage that is more than 1 standard drink. Now, I don't have a problem with this, if it was reasonably priced. But get this. $5.50 for light beer. $6 for xxxx gold, and $9 for mid strength beam, bundy, vodka etc. How does that work. Where is the equality in pricing, same dollars for standard drinks?

Everyone I know is now looking at ways to smuggle stuff in. Is old mate Tony Cochrane behind this? Something smells bad.

At the Gold Coast last year the spirits were $8.90 although as i wasn't about to pay that much i'm not sure if they were mid or full strength.
IIRC they were $8.90 at Clipsal last year also.

Once heard of a bloke that went to a sporting event years ago with a special pair of binoculars if you get my drift..

Just fill up sports sipper bottles. I got 3\4 of a bottle of black beam in 3 sippers for an origin game.:p

Expecting a win!

I am and it's gunna happen, reading the driver quotes on Vscs poor Moff sounds a bit restricted and pissed.

Like wise, I can't wait for things to kick off today and just so happens I don't have to go back to work until Tuesday.

So I will have a great weekend with a Djr Victory to top things off. [dance]
Larko is giving Djr a big wrap.

Still Happy!

Point 3 of a second between the Top 10 & Sj in 12th spot points to the strong possibility of a WIN to me [y]
