DJR-FAN your TM shirt came with the same padding mine did:)

Excellent drive by James, and excellent work by 'The Team' to win the last race of the year. Momentum is building at DJR/JBR. I'd like to mention also the drive by Steve, who went from 24th to 10th I believe. Great stuff guys.

Well done DJR. Courtney definitely deserved to be on the podium Saturday so Sunday showed what DJR could really do. Although Stevie was off the pace this weekend he did well to keep it off the wall and come home with a top ten!

i don't see the new track as being a success (as skaife thinks it is) with about half the cars not finishing todays race and so much panel damage being done.

I totally disagree Rob. I think the track was a total success. There were plenty of overtaking opportunities (unlike some other new street tracks - especially Hamilton which is a total sleepfest of a track) and challenges. To win the race you first have to finish the race! Thats why I feel Courtney has really come of age this year (bar Bathurst - still trying to erase that from my memory) and shown his maturity and fighting spirit. He has gelled really well into DJR!

Bring on 2010 :)

I'm actually disappointed with this pic, but the poor buggers were on a bit of a mission after a long day and a long weekend. Talk about the walking wounded! Frosty had his right hand bandaged, Michael Caruso was limping badly and could hardly walk (my guess is badly blistered right foot) and James wasn't looking too flash after bring crook most of the weekend with a virus. They are both looking back at Carys (James' wife) who is behind GT. I also didn't quite have the camera ready either so my bad there [:0]

Couldn't help myself but watch the race again. The race defining moment must have been when:

a) the safety car came out when Spud was pressing James. DJR laid out the tyres for a pitstop and then cancelled it. Spud went to sleep and fell two seconds behind. The Giz came out of the pits and slotted himself between them.

b) Spud then put himself under pressure and spun on cool tyres. Yet another brain-snap on his part.

Now, I'd love to know if DJR faked the stop, or it just happened. Either way, it was a call that won them the race. I haven't seen DJR make a race-winning call like that since... [sh] ... hmmm Steve and the Rat won the Qld 500?

Good Call!

Actually think Djr have been calling it right now for the last few or so rounds and reckon they faked that call BIG TIME and sent Murphy to sleep.

Yep I agree,

I was almost waiting for an "Ambrose-esk bathurst type punt into james' backside into turn 8 or somthing and when spud slowed expecting James to pit it was quite obvious he'd been given that message . I think they might have bee faking to get spud off him, great tactic from "The Team" if that's how it went down.[y]

Race defining moment alright and good job by James to make the best of the opportunity by doing a runner away from a slowing spud.

It really was quite exciting to see spud slap the wall and that filthy look he gave the camera back in the pits later was just worth it.[jk]
