Didn't Claude Giogi get his replete in PJ colours, which would suggest that he purchased it direct from Glenn?

The more I think on it, the more I wonder if Alan McCarthy's car was one of the EF,s and Girogi was bought as an EB...

Well, from what I can remember, Giorgi certainly raced an EB in the '95 ATCC, and McCarthy an EL in the 1997 ATCC. IT'd be worth checking.

Hi Guys, the car was built '92 and first logged in 1/93 so it was one of the first eb falcons that seton built, he or alan jones raced this car (which im trying to find out) and then updated the car to ef (still peter jackson colours) in may '95 and then sold the car onto john sydney in '96 which was ran as the autopro car which max dumsney drove, i know is far shot asking if anyone knows but if you dont ask you never know. Thanks

With absolutely no background info to go on, I would assume that it was the car Seto ran in the 93 triple challenge and ATCC... assuming Seto got the new cars as they came on stream.

Long shot but wasn't one of the cars sold to a tasmanian guy who ran in pretty much the same colour scheme - certainly as an EF though.

Yer that helps, i was not sure if gsr1 and 2 were the sierra's and gsr3 was the start of the falcons, solves that line of thought

Sorry, that Charles Ryman, not Charles Tyman. If I remember correctly, he bought another GSR car, which may have passed into the hands of Andy Cantrell who competed with it in the Australian Touring Car Challenge.

Seton's EL was out at the All Ford Day on the weekend it's been restored back to how it was when he won the championship & it's looking great. It's amazing how basic the car was compared to the current cars.
Glenn & Ingall took over the announcing for awhile & Glenn was giving Rusty a hard time about having not won a championship yet
Seto is always the best of the drivers at the show alot of them sit in their trailer to sign some autographs & bugger off as soon as possible but Glenn always walks around the entire show to check out all the cars & talk to the owners.

GSR7 i think was the championship car, your right Glenn is or has to be the best bloke when it comes to race car drivers, you never hear bad things about him only things to like i just hope he get his bathurst win. And the cars have changed so much over the years i have seton eb and brought not long ago djr9801(dick's el) and with the cage work between the 2 cars theirs a massive difference, well i guess the stiffer the make a car the easier it responds to changes

This is a big call, but I reckon in the current crop of loonies we have inhabiting our racetracks, Glenn is easily one of the better "all rounders" - he can drive consistently all day - his times dont vary much and when approached he is always cheerful and congenial - could teach some other up and coming drivers a thing or two in both departments.

He's had the benefit of having spent an fair bit of his time in cars which couldn't be driven flat out all the time, in races that weren't broken up by pace cars.... good way to develop mechanical sympathy, and an appeciation for tactical thinking... helps to perpetuate the axiom that old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill...

That was a point that Neil Crompton has made in recent telecasts. Him and Steve or Dean would make a killer combination at the Mountain. You would know that they wouldn't make any errors. I can't wait.
