A mate of mine was pally with a guy who used to collect all sorts of Holdens - when I was acquainted with him, he had a VK Group A, a VN Group A, an HSV VL Group A, a supercharged Corvette, and a 4-door A9X.
The A9X and the VN were sold in the early/mid-90's, and he purchased a local XT GT, which was apparently the Bertram/Gates Surfer 6-Hour winner from 68 or 69... they were all gorgeous cars...

Another aquaintance of the old man's collected Fairlaines and the like... he had one of every model since 67, including a lovely metallic gold Landau that his son drove to school in his senior years... the son was/is an international airline pilot, and put an XB GT hardtop in the shed with his dad's collection too...

Another bloke I worked with had bought a disassembled Phase III in the late 80's, but the shell was beyond repair... he put all the bits into an XY Fairmont shell and painted it all up as a GT-HO... shame it wasn't 100%, but mechanically it was all Phase III... and apparently it was SO much fun at Eastern Creek in the 90's....
