Interesting items on eBay

  • 1. "Your knowledge and input is always welcome but please respect the team, the drivers and other members. Abuse or harsh criticisms will not be tolerated".

    2. "This forum is designated 'Family Friendly' - (ie. we have young & impressionable readers - even if they're not Members/Posters) - therefore language must be moderated! - (how would YOU feel about YOUR 9 year old reading it?)

    3. "Use of characters (eg. #$*@!) that only 'partially' disguise an intended vulgar/offensive word(s) is unacceptable!
If you MUST express yourself in such a manner... use ***** and let the reader's imagination 'fill in the blanks'."

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Report them to eBay. They should have put want they want on it in the first place. If they sold it at that price they HAVE to accept it.

EDIT: Interestingly, that page is no longer responding.

Yeah something wrong with the seller there. You can't change the sale price once the auction has finished

Yep, already started the process with Ebay

Obviously I won't be getting it, as this is a pickup item (and it would be a rather awkward experience)

I sent an email back to them, asking how much they thought it was worth

My husband thought around the $3000 but will take offers

I already had a place for it and everything :(

Hey Yap,
The 2nd link you provided still works - it clearly shows that they will post it to you for $20.00

Have you paid for it? If you paid by PayPal you are covered by 'insurance'.
or,
Send them another email - advising that, if the item is not received in the mail within 4 days, you will be: (your choice - either or both)

a) Advising the Queensland Police Fraud Squad of their 'scam' and 'preferring' appropriate charges,
or,
b)instructing your solicitor to instigate appropriate action against them for fraud.

Don't let these SCUM get away with this!!!!!

Keep on them yap don't let the buggers get away with it. Can almost bet they didn,t pay anything near $3000 for it in the first place.

I just went with the complaint to ebay, and they gave him a slap on the wrist

I'd like to let you know that when a seller lists an item and a buyer purchases it, the seller and buyer have entered into a contract that both members are expected to honor. For sellers, this contract includes both formal requirements, as well as informal, common-sense obligations to provide good service to their buyers.

That being said, I have thoroughly reviewed this situation and have taken appropriate action against seller "daryl3409". I have already issued a warning to this member and if they continue with this kind of behavior at eBay it could lead to closing the member's account

So it's clearly a breach of contract situation, why isn't ebay getting them to send you your stuff???

Well that's a pile of shite from ebay!
Car 61's on the money.
You probably won't get the bonnet but the seller isn't going to know what hit him!
