"Dean Canto to drive for Garry Rogers Motorsport at Gold Coast Indy

Dean Canto will get behind the wheel of a Holden Commodore for the second time in his career when he joins Cameron McConville at the Garry Rogers Motorsport team on the Gold Coast this coming weekend."

Whilst it is great for Canto.. Well at least I think it will be great (hasn't been for Jamie & andrew). I think Garry is a complete disgree to the sport.. If you can't give a young block some time to get sorted, don't hire them in the first place!!

It's hard to get a read on why Garry does what Garry does... could it be he needs a big result from car 33 for other reasons, in a similar way to why Richards/Dumbrell carries no 24 rather than Richo's 11?

While it seems silly to give your young pup away for an older one, just as you've almost got the worst of the toilet-training done, GRM aren't the only ones to have done it on a number of occasions...

In any case, good luck next weekend Dean, and I hope it's only temporary, be nice to have you back here for a while yet!

That one is very easy to answer.. They did it becuase the licence #24 was (is) very close to missing the 32 car out off at 32 grid races, so Larry (along with LMS/#20 & Garry/#34), put their top 2 guys in that car number to get as many points for that licene spot so they did not miss the 32 cut off

Canto must be at odds to make this kind of decision also , throw a season in HPDC , for a one off drive in the main event and a lick and promise for the future , its a tough one

Could it be that he is "on loan" for the rest of the year and will be replaced by Junior next year? GR has big raps on junior and has actively chased him in the past. That would leave a spare seat for Dean at DJR next year!!! I am sure Dean will finish the HPDCC this year and will be champion. DJR juat has way too much talent for one team, maybe they can run another car next year?
AT The moment there are 4 seats and the following drivers...
Seton
JOhnson
Canto
Davison
Denyer
Moffat

Anyone got some dollars to throw in for a third main game licence????
