RFL falcon ran in 97 (I Think)
It was ment to be a full time team, yet for some reason never got that far.
SJ was allways going back to Shell for the Sandown / Bathurst double and 2 new drivers were going to race the car in those two races, but for some reason it never happened.
I do remember a young Tod Wanless geting the drive and then not getting it.
Some harsh word were said in various publications and then the team appeared no more.
If I remember correctly Terry Bowe was involved.
Sadly, the year he died. Strange really, that a guy that raced in the most danderous of professions died in a relatively safe formula, after spending years trying to improve safety both on the track and on the road.
Very sad indeed.
My late father had seen alot of Hansford in his early days.
He rated him better than Grame Crosby who was his hero.
What Hansford did on bike was amazing...Yet such a nice fellow.
Its true the good do die young.
