1979 was the last time a DJR car has not finished on the podiom in a calender year. That's quite amazing!! EVERY YEAR since 1979 a DJR FORD #17 or #18 has finished on the podiom at least once in a calender year.
The pressure is on this year though to keep the tradition going.

It's quite an amazing statistic Doug & probably one that will never be matched. 1986, I think was Dick's hardest year & amongst all the Turbo Group A Tourers of the time, he managed 3rd with the great Greg Hansford at a Surfers enduro.

DJR was officially formed in 1980, the same year as the infamous Tru Blu and Rock episode. When you consider that DJR has seen a podium result in every year of it's existence, it's something very few teams can boast.

I'm sure the whole crew down at DJR will be looking to continuing that form - 6th position at EC has certainly thrown a new spark into the whole organisation.

Good to hear Jono! As a fan who's been staunch for nigh-on 24 years, this has been the toughest couple of seasons - not thru DJR's fault... but not just for us (imagine how Glenn Seton fans must feel!). A renewal of the competitive flame will do everyone the world of good.
