Spent the weekend away and only got to watch the races last night, Tander is a bully (amongst a lot of other things) and unfortunately he has a 650HP V8 as his backup, who would hire him after that? Time he got used to driving a Porsche, TCM or dodgem cars.

Still need to work on our pit stops, the stuff ups are so frustrating for everyone.

Updates you provided were great Ryan, certainly a big effort from all involved to get #12 back to the track and ready for Quall on Sunday.

Softs weren't great last year either. Ford's struggle there. Mix of aero and geometry. New tyre will help in some areas for sure. Development is key though and we haven't been standing still. Can't go down blind rabbit holes. Means things can take time sometimes even though that's as frustrating as hell.

Fantastic to see the team effort in getting car 12 back on track, reminded me of the strength of DJR back in the day at Bathurst with the XE falcon.

Formularryan, can you please give us some insight into what you think the strength of 888 is, is it budget, data, drivers, Ludo?

Thankyou, I know it is frustrating enough as a spectator that the results have not come our way this year so I can't imagine how difficult it has been for the team. I guess the saving grace is that nobody on the blue side has had an real form of success this year, so it is not like a dominant package is being squandered. The geometry part interests me though, is this due to the Fords all being originally based off the FPR front end? I thought front suspension/crossmember design was more or less one of the only relatively 'free' areas that teams could exploit? (With questions like this, it might almost be time for another meet at DJR HQ like we had at about this time last year?)

I must say I also enjoyed the social media updates on the rebuild, I haven't seen the DJR page humming along like that in quite a while.

You can always tell it's me posting on social if it's a bit verbose haha. Also blurry photos. I'm hardly as adept as Peter is in that department!

Maybe another meet-up is needed?

Sounds good to me Ryan, you pick a day/date that suits you and I'll put the word out. [bc]

Post NZ? I'll invite Team Mates along as well. They'll be a bit of news out in the mean time too.

How the 26/27th of November sound, that's the week before the final round and we may get a sneak peek at the final livery for the year as well :D

How is Geoff after the pit lane incident, did he cop a hit from the air hose, it looked pretty close on TV?

Just watched supercars life's Gold Coast episode, and it may be a question for the meet at HQ but it was difficult to make out what Burgess' point of view was in the brief discussion with Ryan in pit lane post race, was he really trying to defend the indefensible?

Yeah he was. Got a little fiery after the camera switched off... Respect though that he came to see me even with a considerable difference of opinion. The responsible party in this instance lacked the intestinal fortitude to do the same.

Difference of opinion? is a nice way of putting it, . he was wrong from the overhead and in car video, and the commentators initially thought it was deliberate, but within a half an hour were backpedaling pretty fast,. . saying to viewers "make up your own mind" instead,
Gt was pretty quick over to rbra to tell them how he saw it at Bathurst, pretty lame not to come over this time.
