Well what turned out to be mostly cosmetic damage the 17 was back on track [bw]
and the highlight to the day was in Qualifying where both cars finished in the top 10 and will hit the track tomorrow afternoon in the top 10 shootout
Fabs in P5 , and Scotty in P 8
Bloody well done boys, fantastic effort and no matter how you do tomorrow your are at the right end of the pack, but do not let that stop you from finishing the shootout in P1nad P2 . . [y][y]

Even better was watching the perennial desperate idiot throw away three in a row, . . he got a 15 second penalty, he should have got a drive through for punting the Kiwi off then another the next lap for going so slow that he caused an accident on the racing line. .

Well looks like the sooks at T888 have lodged an appeal against the most lenient sentence. . . to be heard at a later date.
the other dose of Karma for me was Rick Kelly who abused his team all day long, and then put if in the wall, and when they told him to come into the pit garage he yelled at them again , to just fix it so he could get back out and get a finish. .. there was no fixing that ripped out front suspension. Scott M has also been hit by the stewards with a 25 point penalty for unsafe re-entry, .
Yes I am myopic, . . but seriously if whincup didn't hit him off track, and then didn't hit the brakes while on the racing line out of the corner where everyone else would be accelerating, there wouldn't have been need to "re-enter" . .

The whole redress rule needs redressing. The unsafe rejoin only becomes unsafe when whincup tries to cover his own arse and displays a complete lack of situational awareness by slowing on the racing line with another car that then has to take evasive action to avoid a car that should not be doibg what it is where it is. That then forces him into the path of a car rejoining the circuit.
Will be a shame if the appeal is upheld. Thought Ferrari was the only team in world motorsport with the right to veto rules it doesnt agree with!

T888 is financially the biggest part of the category , ..they pay the piper,they call the tune.
Did whincup actually brake? Or just lift off? Tander was able to slow to whincups speed before deciding to try to overtake him.

Tander should have been aware of McLaughlin and also stayed left.
