WTF is going on in QLD ?

The health system is stuffed and has been for some time, the overseas doctors brought in by the premier, have turned out to be questionable, and only a week ago a woman died in a hallway in an overcrowded hospital after 7 hours without treatment.

The water supply is dwindling and the treatment plant is struggling to keep up with demand because storages are now so low and now we find the safety net, the Southern regional water pipeline to go between Wivenhoe Dam,west of Brisbane and Hinze (Gold Coast) is actually a supply for 5,000 acre housing estate and new Dams ( if it ever rains) are years away.

And now we have this dictatorial plan to amalgamate Councils, gifting poorly managed rural and semi rural areas which need huge amounts of costly infrastructure, for developers to continue to cover Qld from Noosa to the NSW border with houses, guarenteeing it will never rain again (artificial desert of house roofs and bitumen roads ), with well managed councils to strip the rates for that purpose; e.g. Redcliffe, Noosa

In the last ten years it's been one fiasco after another, but i reckon they've finally lost it, this is insane, people in southern states must be laughing their heads off.

Unfortunately it's no better in NSW TS! The whole state is a f@#king shambles. Hospitals, water, roads, taxes, fuel prices etc, etc.....

The biggest problem for NSW is it's hard to have a good goverment when there is basically NO opposition party, meaning that it doesn't matter how much Mirrors Dilema & the labour party f#cks up, as it showed last election, there's bugger all alternative unfortunately.

Exactly right, Col,thats a real problem , the lack of an opposition and a government that is working for Industry and developers instead of the people they represent. I'm actually getting pushed into the next Council with all this and that means Development comes sooner, I've been here 20 years and the State Bloke, says " well you had a good run, time to let someone else have a go"

I said " Fu%$77in WHAT ! " then proceded to cuss him out for a few minutes until the girl stsrted to drag me away, I could have so easily smacked him.

This is the stupidity of it though, they say they are going to put us all on town water, We. are all pretty much self suficient and have tanks Dams or Bores, but no they will put in town supply so we can empty Wivenhoe all the sooner, Dickheads!
