Well i dont agree with you DJR1718. I think it ended up a horror of a weekend. DJR bombed a good opportunity to win that race with a shocking race strategy. As soon as the safety car is out on the track and the pit window is open you have to be able to think on the go and bring the cars in for there stops just like the top teams do. I just get the feeling that DJR just dont know how to win any more.
Also when are we going to get some one in car 18 that can challenge for a race win. Warren Luff's performance at Winton was disgracefull. As i have said before he should still be in the Konica series.

We'll crack it one of these days...

A couple of us at work were having a bit of a post-mortem this morning, and one of the guys voiced the opinion that luck played a big part in it. While I agree that you'll never crack it if the cards don't quite fall your way, the guy at the front doesn't need to take quite as many risks, so his luck seems better. I think that was illustrated by the way 17 ran strongly right up until all the air fell out of the tyre. It only takes one little thing to send everything pear-shaped but... Winton proved that if he's up the pointy end at the start, Steve is more than capable of running with the hotshots, just as we hoped (I was chuffed to hear Bowe heaping praise on him at Willowbank too!)

As for Luffy, commiserations for an eventful day yesterday. Onward and upward mate!

Must agree with Tru Blu, Warren is struggling to keep the car on the track. Like probably all you blokes, by race end, I was gutted. I still think the cars arent the problem (except FPR), its our below par drivers. Seton, Luff, Wilson, Besnard, Radisich, B.Jones, Ellery are below par. Johnson, Bargs, Winterbottom,Bowe are holding their own and apart from Ambrose, Ingall, Lowndes, I cant see any of our drivers capable of getting podium let alone a win.

Its not that i want to bag Warren because i to think he has a good future its just that i dont think the main game in V8 supercars is not were a high profile team like DJR should have a young driver learning the ins and outs of the category. Thats what the Konica Minolta serious is for. DJR needs a seasoned campaigner in car 18 to help Steve with car set up.
