the chest thats me,and i would be proud of it,but my mate has a brocky A9X pic tattoed over his back, and the thought of the greens tuf falcon on mine has crossed my mind. And ive built or building a replica of the greens tuf falcon the 84 car, less the flares for my racecar,,i could,nt get my club No as 17 so i settled on 71,my passion for djr started at the age of 13,and and still today i love the greens tuf falcon.

I used to piss my dad off bigtime as a youngster as I had the insane need to paint anything that moved either blue or green - skateboard - pushbikes, even bloody roller skates.

Right back at you on that one mate - I was the typical nerd - not a lot of mates, mum died pretty early on so Dick and the team became my main source of encoragement and entertainment - It would actually be nice to tell him one day how much inspiration I got from watching him.

I have to say... after talking to Shane (luvgreens tuf) for a while, on the net, i think he comes pretty close to the biggest 'DJR Freak' i have ever seen or heard about... Everything that comes out of his mouth has something to do with DJR (or more specifically... The Green XE) :D

Doug yes,it will definately be done,a week or so a go i was walking back from the shopping centre near where i live, this part of melbourne has alot of paddocks in the area, out of the corner of my eye,i spotted what i thought was a genuine XE,as mine was a XF with XE parts bolted on,so i took a walk over to the car,and boy the body was smick and to my surprise the guy that owned it said i could have it,as i told him my plans for it,he admitted he liked Dick Johnson himself,so i rounded up my mechanic and we had it home within 1 hr.he checked it over,Disc brake rear end,4spd manual, and a fuel injected six,he said i know your gonna hate me,but this is the car where going to use,so ive been changing things over into the new car,i,m up to fitting the suspension, and i will give her a coat of that lovely greens tuf green soon,i have my own sponsors to fit on it,but i will be as fast as i can and will have pics asap, but i want to put djrclub17 0n it as well, its the 84 colour scheme, cant find a signwriter to do the channel 7 logos,to do my favorite 83 car.

I had a ride on mower that was red when i bought it but it was soon blue and then green and eventually it was red again.I even painted number's and sponsor's on it.
The next ride on that i'm looking at is already yellow. So Dick had better keep this colour for a while cause i aint painting this one. The last one that i bought is green (John Deere) should have bought this one when Greenstuf was around

Hey Shane, I run a printing business, and have a good mate who is a signwriter - if you are stuck for the "colours of 7" circle, let me know - I reckon we can get you a couple or more done in Vinyl

Sorry to double post here, doug i can fit the numbers,as i did the pre apprenticeship in sign industry last year,if possible i need 3 one each for doors, and the bonnet, not going to ask for roof one as its alot bigger,my number is 71,just after i type this im off to pick up the red and white motorcraft decal for the bonnet edge, the guy doing the sticker would,nt tackle the 7 logos,as he only runs and auto shop, mate i so much appreciate this,i cant thankyou enough, and it would mean so much to me to carry djrclub17 on the greens half tuf falcon aswell,i call it that cos shes only a 6 cylinder, but with a bit of grunt, you guys here do a marvelous job,Keith,Mitchell, yourself, and the rest of you hard workers,i love the site, and if there,s something in return i can do for you guys, well just ask.

Hi mate, I can do the signage, or Keith can, but you need to contact Channel 7 and get a copy of the actual artwork - I am sure when you tell them why, they won't hassle you about it

I have been know to dye my hair blue & shave a 17 into the back of it for Bathurst. I try to match our esky trolley in the 1999 paint job. Im currently working on finding a ride on mower to paint Greens-Tuf green. I like the idea of a 17 tattoo, but I haven't got the guts & my girlfriend would definately leave me. On my desk at work I've got a 1:64 1984 GreensTuf, a 1:43 signed edition of Dicks 1999 AU & the 1:18 scale 1999 AU of Dick & Steves last Bathurst. At home, next to the telly I've got a 1:43 2003 DJR BA, on my living room wall I've got a signed photo of the EB & in the study I've got a signed "Dick socks it to 'em as John takes a bow" Shell promo poster of the 1994 Bathurst victory. Somewhere I've also got a piece of the front spoiler (just under the headlight) off #17 from Bathurst 2000. Not to mention about 3 different caps, about 6 t-shirts from over the years, a red Shell Helix Racing jacket signed by Dick & Steve & a reeally big DJR flag & a Ford flag signed by every Ford driver (and Barry Sheen) since 1999 (except Ingall & Ambrose but Im working on that). And now that actually thought about this & written it all down, I think I may need to go & commit myself to the looney bin.

I remember venturing up to Lakeside in 1997 to watch DJ on his home turf. I recall seeing a guy on some 'dodgy' scaffolding erected along pitt straight. He had a sign with him that said "MY GIRLFRIEND LOVES DICK". He was a real character and kept everyone entertained :D
