Has anyone ever been fortunate enough to have gone for a ride as a passenger in a V8 Supercar?

No can you organize one for me? :)

I know someone who has and he said it was great and they are only going 80% of top speed.

At the risk of sounding vain, I have been fortunate enough to have done so twice. Luckily for me, I have some good friends that work for a company that sponsors Anthony Tratt's team. I was supposed to go for a ride with him at the Clipsal in 2002, but there was a problem with the seat they were bolting in. Tratty is good mates with Seto, so as fate would have it, I did 2 laps of Adelaide with Seto in the silver Ford Credit AU. At the end of the 2003 series, I also did 3 laps of Oran Park with Tratty in the BA.
Both very different experiences, but experiences that are no doubt the best of my life so far. The biggest thing for me was the braking power and the stiffness of the suspension and chassis. Dead-set felt like it was on rails :D

I WISH... a mate and I nearly wore out the DJR Sierra simluator at Bathurst in 1994... and if it bears any resemblance at alkl to the real thing I WANT IN!!!!

My cousin scored a lap at Mt Panorama in a road-going Clubsport a number of years ago with Craig Lowndes... his first words to me post-lap were... "we think we can pedal a bit..." (we grew up on farms and bashed around a fair bit)".... mate you have no idea!"

Craig talked the whole way around apparently... cousin had a WRX at the time (the capabilities of which had been extensively explored on many occasions) and Lowndesy was commenting on how good the brakes are in them... the cousin lays a hand on the Clubby's dash and says "well, I think this thing might have it shaded for stoppers".

Well, CL 's head snapped around. He stared at him for a second and said "you're kidding!" and the cousin near filled his rompers... they were in the middle of the kink at the chase at the time... the car was cocked sideways... at an indicated 230 klicks... and CL never even flinched.

He sort of floated out of the car at the pits, handed on his helmet and said with a goofy, dreamy grin "that was GOOD!"

My girlfriend sent me on Mal Rose's V8 Supercar Experience for my 30th a couple of years ago, around Oran Park. What a rush! The best bits are the excelleration out of the pits, the smell & all those special V8 supercar noises.

It was an unbelievable feeling going over the flip-flop with Tratty at Oran Park, the track instantly dropping away from underneath the car with the boot still firmly into the throttle, before being hard on the picks going into Momo-Recaro. Absolutely breathtaking part of the circuit :D
