Going back years ago when I was just a young fella, Ford released an ad for the improved handling XC sedans, (was probably the start of the "series two" realeases in ford models). Ford employed six ford racing drivers of the era to act as human witches hats whilst a mad man zig-zaged his way between them.

Can anyone name the drivers in order as the car weaved past them and who was the driver of the XC?

PS I don't know who the driver was but if he stuffed up we would have lost six legends in one hit.

Cheers.

I can vaguely remember that add Nascar12.

Was Moff the driver of the XC???? & if he wasn't I'll have a guessimate at the human witches hats...

*Moffat
*Goss
*Bond
*Johnson (Not sure on that one as he was relatively unknown then)
*Geoghean
*Carter

Moffat drove it, and Johnson was one of them... but I don't believe I've ever seen a list of them all.... and don't remember the ad...

G'day fellas. Almost there. It did whiz past a young Dick Johnson as the first witches hat, one other legend next, Carter, Goss, Bond, Moffat. It wasn't Big Pete, turning circle not so kind in the XC. What was the famous ford name of the 70's that still around today?

Since all the legends were standing on the track, I'd still love to know who was driving that car though.

Gee fellas, if I replied before big col posted I would have given it to you SF, but my memory is playing tricks on me now, it might be Bo Seaton or Bob Holden. Someone please help me out. Oh the embarrasement of it all!!

On second thoughts, and having looked at the timeframe, you would think that Bob Holden would be the favourite. Despite Bo Seton preparing a million Capris at the time, he was racing a Torana in the ATCC and Bathurst. Just who was in that car, driving?

SF, I'm almost certain it was Bob Holden now. Anybody here got a hotline to a legend to help out? (and get the name of that driver too!!).
Cheers.
