Yeah, I'm talking about the Sierras :D. DJR produced the fastest Group A Ford Sierras on the planet. The little red car in the DJR showroom has an impressive pedigree: list its major individual Bathurst achievements (there are a few)

Qualified 1-2 Bathurst 88 & finished 2nd (DJ,JB&John Smith)
Qualified 2nd Bathurst 89 & Finished 1st (DJ&JB)
Qualified 2nd Bathurst 90 & Finished 2nd (Rat&Allam)
Qualified 4th (#18) 91 & Finished 5th or 6th???
Qualified 1st Bathurst 92 & should have bloody won. Dicks best drive
She was a sensational car was'nt she???
Just imagine if Ross Stone come on board earlier with DJR (1992), the results could have been far better. The 92 RS500 was performing far better than it did 90-91 and was about the only car to take it up to mighty Nissan GTR's in 1992.
Also, 1987 was'nt worth mentioning about as both cars were out within 3 laps. Although, it was the reason Dick took the Sierra over to Silverstone the following year as he was so embarresed with DJR's performance at the mountain in 87.

It's hard to say just what would've happened with the Stones on the Sierra program pre-'92. Neal Lowe contributed a lot initally and reaped the rewards, with two stunning years in 88-89. It was a great time to be a Ford supporter :D

Yes Neal Lowe did great work with the engine management system on the DJR Sierras. And the Stones made them handle alot better they did a lot of work with the suspension. After the Stones joined DJR i remember Dick saying that know he knows why Kevin Waldocks Sierra was so good because the Stones left Waldocks team to join DJR. Waldock tried to take some sort of court action against DJR for the Sones taking his technology and taking it to DJR
