Sounds good Peter! Was thinking more about catching up afterwards and I always eat at Hogs Breath in Ipswich. Is anyone interested in meeting there after the test day for a chat and something to eat? Around 6pm or so? Or would it be better done on the GC?

Let me know
Marcus

Marcus, I know of three people interested in coming along so far. Anyone else interested in coming along to have a chat and dinner with Marcus?

Sorry Marcus but I'm going to have to give the dinner a miss. Two of us have the Flu at the moment and the last thing we want to be doing is coughing all through dinner. I'll still be at the test day tomorrow so I'll catch up with you then.

Cheers
Peter

Ah what a bugger guys, maybe one night over the race weekend next week would be better? I'm leaving in about 4 hours and won't have access to internet till Friday. Can anyone who wants to catch up let me know tomorrow at the test day and i'll organise it, or possibly try and re-organise to do it next Saturday night or something in Ipswich again?

Hopefully see a fair few of you guys out there tomorrow!

Marcus

PS: DJR have done a simply incredible job with AU12, it's perfect!

All going well I hope to make it there too. About what time will you and TS-50 be at the track?

No worries , I'll be there somewhere between 10.30 and midday.

Did you manage to get out to QR, hang aroud DJR for quite awhile but did not notice you? Didn't really not what to look for either.

Hi Poita,

Didn't plan that too well ay. Yes I was there from about 11.00 til almost 12.30 but I didn't know what to look out for either, and I didn't want to go up to people and keep asking "are you Poita". Were you that lucky guy with the camera in amongst the pit area? If so how did you find all the DJR staff to be like? It seemed to be a very high morale with the crew and drivers.
I was there in a navy polo top, black jeans and black sunnies.

I couldn't stay much later than that but I liked the practise days in many way better than the race day.
You can park your car in the back of the pit area,
You can get a good vantage point from anywhere you like
Find a bench and sit down when you want,
Get nice and close to the teams working on the cars,
AND 1 commodore and a thousand Falcons flying around the track.

Have you got any gossip to share?

It was a great day ; Its great to be able to walk down through the pit area and even though they're busy , most of the blokes will stop and chat if you ask them somthing.

From me ; no gossip ; sorry

Didn't try to talk to the staff as they were pretty busy most of the day, the drivers were happy enough to have their photos taken. I mainly concentrated on Marcus so I could get Doug enough pictures for him to choose from for his article.

Marcus's dad was very good as I explaind to him what I was doing and he more or less told me to get in and get what I want.

Thanks for the pics Poita. I don't know what us folks down here would do without you.

No problem DJR-FAN, it's nice to know the pics are appreciated.

Thanks
Poita
