Just heard that Symmons Plains got the nod to host the last round of the v8 championship, also for the next 5 years plus a $2 million upgrade to the pit area[^]
Still have visions of DJ&JB chasing each other around that track:)
Do we know who won the last race there[V]

So if its for the next 5 years and NZ is going to get 2 rounds and we are still going to China, what is going to happen in OZ ?
What tracks miss out to fit in the new races? or is the championship going to have more rounds?

J.C. I have wondered that also. I hope they give China the flick because the V8s are Aussie and what do the Chinese really care about them. At least NZ have Fords and Holdens and fought a war with us. I just want a race at Mallala in SA.

JB, I know Radisich took pole in the last event & I think race day was wet & I think Murph might have won in the Wynn's Commodore. Could be wrong though!!

Bob Jane will not even let A.I.R. be used for competative drag racing so there is buckleys hope of the V8s racing there. I still think Mallala better as you can see most of the track from nearly any where and I can get great photos with no fencing in the way unlike the clipsal 500.

There was some talk last year that Bob was going to sell A.I.R to a Adelaide business man but that never happened.
I think its a fantastic circut with the long straight and oval.
I know V8's will never get there but Konica...

Rob, to be fair Murphy did win the first race in the wet.
Rat did start on pole, lost the lead on the 1st corner.
DJ put #17 in the mud on about lap 7 that`s how wet it was.
A clue, the bloke who won the last race also won race 2and finished 2nd in race 1
