Day One report
Both cars running well just both fell off the pace at the end of the day. Steve and James were running inside the top ten for most of the practice sessions today, Steve running second for about 3/4 of the last session. Having saying that the whole field is only separated by 1.2 seconds or something like that so it is very easy to fall off the pace here. Both were also very happy to sign the pile of merchandise I had which I halved before going today (got to leave some for the teams mates function). Talking to Steve about the 1/10 scale car that Biante is making he is looking forward to getting his.
Webb was running better towards the end of the day as well, due to him not being to Tassie before he was having trouble with the hump at turn 1 into turn 2, but he got better as the day progressed and the TT for the round seriously has someone watching him from above with he having two very very close t bones avoided [rt]. The stand I am in boo'd both of them when he managed to drive away. But as they say things come in 3's so come next time
Noticed a new pit boom car which has been done in the Bathurst colours and is signed for $145 in the merchandise trailer, will see how the weekend progresses before making a decision on that piece, also the 08 season cars plus the 07 Bathurst cars where there and they looked really good.
Bit of on track goss over hearing the dunlop man talking about how they do not have enough wet tyres for a full weekend of wet racing. The tyres are sitting in melb and have been there all week. They are meant to come across the bass tonight but if they don't that may affect the course of the weekend. Although today was a mix of weather, from a shower minutes before P1 to heat and mugginess for the arvo the next two days are for rain increasing.
