Good solid combinations & both would have to be clear favourites for the Sandown 500. Bathurst, although SBR were the last Ford team to win there back last century (It seems that long ago) seem to strugle to find the ideal set-up for Mt Panorama.

I find it hard to believe that they can turn up at any other race track in Australia and dominate, and then fail so miserabley at the mountain...

Somethings not right there... Do you think the Stones might feel the pressure?

I dare say there will be no one in the field that will want to win it this year MORE than Marcos Ambrose... so.. *fingers crossed*

When will DJR announce their pairs?? Hopefully we might hear something after the test day tomorrow, when they get a chance to see how each works with others.

I don't particularly think it's going to make much difference which way they go Joe.

Seton-Jnr
Seton-Canto
Seton-Davison
Canto-Davison
Jnr-Canto
Jnr-Davison

Which ever way you look at it their VERY strong driver line ups in what should be very strong & reliable BA's..

Don't anyone underestimate Will Davison. He's been doing a lot of testing this year for DJR & he will get a run in the AU in 2 weeks time.. He will suprise a lot of people & team owners come the enduro's & if I was Ross or Jimmy Stone, he would be very high on my list for the Pirtek drive next year..

I just dropped Chalks an email... Lets see if we can get something out of him..

I assume we're all hoping for Seton/Jnr pairing? (regardless of how short 'ol Seto is)

someone should really start a new thread on DJR's pairings...

(There. If said it. ive done my job. continue.....)

Seto and Junior - mm - maybe not - rather see Canto in 18 with Seto as their build and driving styles seem to be better matched, and with that , they may just carry off a victory or at least a podium if 17 claims the top spot, because it seems Junior has the Monkey off his back well and truly and is driving with more grey matter than ever before.

Nothing has been decided, apparantly (in the DJR camp)

He just said... "No announcements as yet. We will sit down in the next couple of weeks and make some decisions after consultation with the drivers."

Mitch, I'm a similar build to Steve (might have to loosen the belts a bit further for me though).... just be sure you mention that to Chalks, won't you? ;)

Righto Henry, and I am a canto lookalike when it comes to weight and height - You reckon we might be a shoein here??

Steve can sit on the sidelines because i'm about the same size as Henry and we'll give 17 a workout at the mountain

The mind boggles Mitch.[:I][:I] Nah, that's pushing things too far..[}:)][}:)]:D

Bring back Kevin Waldock & his grid girls. While some needed a bag over their head, not too many blokes were really looking that high anyway.:D:D:D

Ahhhhhhhh the ol' fun bags.:D:D:D

or the Hooters talent.

Actually, on my last visit to Bathurst - 1994 (hangs head in shame... you'd think I'd go back!) one of my drunken mates asked the Shell-FAI/DJR girls if they were paid well, or if the were there beacuse they liked Dick... I don't think they quite got his gist...
