rFactor question

  • 1. "Your knowledge and input is always welcome but please respect the team, the drivers and other members. Abuse or harsh criticisms will not be tolerated".

    2. "This forum is designated 'Family Friendly' - (ie. we have young & impressionable readers - even if they're not Members/Posters) - therefore language must be moderated! - (how would YOU feel about YOUR 9 year old reading it?)

    3. "Use of characters (eg. #$*@!) that only 'partially' disguise an intended vulgar/offensive word(s) is unacceptable!
If you MUST express yourself in such a manner... use ***** and let the reader's imagination 'fill in the blanks'."

    Thank you for your cooperation.

For Quasi and others,

I've got rFactor running on my PC, with the Bathurst Legends and WSC1970 mods. They're just great.

One thing I can't figure out - how do I run a long race and save my progress?? With teenage kids, its hard to find more than two hours for a race 'weekend'.

Unfortunately, there is no way to save a race in progress and pick up where you left off mate.

You'll be interested to know that there is a 'Bathurst Legends 1972' being released shortly. This will include the GTR XU1, Phase III, and Charger E38/E49.

Also, you might want to take a look at these:

I saw that ESP was after some hard to find pics to complete the 1972 mod. I have a lot of resources that might have something - do you know if he still needs stuff?

Not sure, try sending him a PM through one of the forums and see how you go.

Quasi - if I am racing WSC1970, what is the best Nordschliefe track to download? I can't get a good impression from the limited screenies.

We ran a 500 Km race on the 'Tourist' version, as a Targa race, with the car park as the pits. Yep, 500 kilometres around there. That's only 24 laps, but when a lap is more than 22 kilometers it's easy to make a mistake. At an average of 9 minutes per lap that will tell you how long it took:)

There are patches and addons for brighter headlights, but whether it will make a difference at a track like that I couldn't say. I,m sure I still have the file somewhere, but couldn't find it on RF Central.

I couldn't find it on rFcentral either or No Grip. Can you suggest anywhere else?

I found it a problem at Le Mans. Couldn't see the apex of the corner to aim at, and kept slipping off the road.
