I'm not sure if this has come up in any other thread (if so, apologies for starting a new one)..
But can anybody please tell me why we have reverse grid races again?
I don't understand it. Winton was the first full round I've watched this year because of this very reason.
How does it positvely effect the championship?
Is it so the catagory can earn more advertising $$ with the different sponsored backmarkers getting more coverage on the TV?
So far everyone I've asked about it up to now, doesn't enjoy it.
I haven't heard anyone say "'Cause car crashes are cool!".
What was wrong with last year? The racing was great & the championship position points were close & exciting - all with no reverse grid.
Furthermore, why would I want to spend $40 for a Saturday or $50 for Sunday ticket, plus another $15 - $25 for a pit pass, to go to Oran when there is a good chance of seeing my favourite team get belted out of contention? I just want to go see them race hard & clean & earn their position.
As you can probably tell, this frustrates the @&%# out of me, I couldn't even begin to imagine how it makes a team owner feel.
*phew* Thanks for the ear - I feel better for getting that off my chest.
