New Dick Johnson DVD

Just picked up the latest Motor Racing Audtralia tonight on the way home and it has a new Dick Johnson DVD advertised. "Collectors Edition DJ 35 Years at Bathurst". 2 disk, includes interviews early footage at bathurst plus bouns 20 min post rock tv footage uncovered in the abc archives. $35 bucks Available august. Looks like it will be one to put down on the must have list.

The CATCR vol 4 & 5 dvds are 2 of the dvds I pre ordered plus the Histroy of the Australian Ford Falcon Hardtop. I hope it is as good as the GTHO version.

Just watched Disc 1 and there is not alot of new footage, But on Disc 2 It is the unseen footage found in the ABC archives and is great to watch.
Was great to see the 81 Bathust winner as a brand spanking new shell from Brodmeadows on the F100 Tilt Tray.

Got my copy, and I must say that I am not at all happy...
Firstly, I pre-ordered the DVD but it arrived over a week late because of supply problems from the distributor.
Secondly, this DVD is called '35 years at Bathurst: Dick Johnson', however, Disc 1 is an exact copy of TRU BLUE which was released in 1999 when DJ announced his retirement.
Disc 2 shows a story recently located in the ABC archives that was filmed in early 1981. Great footage and a real step back in time.
I am dirty that 15 minutes of new footage and a copy of a DVD produced 8 years ago is packaged up by Chevron under a different title. I was hanging for this DVD.
Not happy CHEVRON!!!
