I didn't get to see too much of the action today (packing house, but taped much of it anyway), but good to see "our" cars getting into the fray! Bit of bad luck for Luffy in R2 getting bunkered, but can only say great job from all concerned... Steve's results were all good, after a bit of a struggle with 17 in R1, and as was pointed out in a nother forum somewhere, he's now the second Ford in the championship - GOOD STUFF DJR!!

DJR are the second Ford team, anyway... But that's good enough [:p]

(It was a pleasure updating the standings, this evening, and seeing 'S. Johnson' appear in 9th)

Well done to Steve and the team
Was a bit concerned when I saw that "big ears"(tander)was 2 car lengths back though.

One can only hope that the level of performance keep's increasing at the rate it has been lately, by the time Bathurst come's around you might see a DJR car bring it home

Actually, watching #17 on the box yesterday, it seemed to ride the bumps of Pukekohe as well as anyone but just seemed to be lacking a little power down out of the corners. Big big improvement from a couple of years back where they bumped & bounced there way around the track, so well done DJR & SJ as I do believe they are now the 2nd best Ford team as an overall package.

Folks...yes 17 and Junior..a super effort...but its not enought...we need more and to the pointy end we go:):):)

Gday Rob, I think that the power down issue was the teams achilles heel, however as you said, I would have rather have been in the 17 Falcon than Brights thing after watching them over the bumps into the last corner - I was expecting a PWR car to "flaps down and rotate as it climbed to 40000feet" at one stage.

How good is it that #17 is in the top ten in the championship, let's not forget the bad luck #17 had at the Clipsal 500 thruogh no fault of his own:(:(:( (1st race - debris from Kelly's Holden:( & 2nd race Dumbrell-McConville[V][V]). Had he a resonable result at Adelaide, he would probably be 6th in the series which would be a tremendous effort considering they still don't have quite the pace of the top 2 or 3 teams. One IMPORTANT thing they have this year is reliability:)[:p] which was sadly lacking last year. Still very impressed with Luffy also & I hope DJR give him the opertunity to go around again next year.

Although this is a DJR site i still think that Marcus Ambrose deserves a big congratulations from everyone for retaining fords lead in the 2004 V8 supercars round. Also, welldone to both Steven Johnson and Warren Luff for the great races they both had on sunday. Keep up the good work boys, you make us proud...
