I'm surprised that its taken as long as this for a Ford team to capitalize on what a great resource AM is. The man is excellent at talking up sponsors and dropping their names whenever he's in shot of a TV camera.

Good move by FPR.

Spot on Nascar. Allan is a unique character who is well respected on both sides of the fence. Can only be good for Ford/FPR.

Allan can be a cranky old bugger but he's getting paid so he'll be nice to everyone.

It will be good to see a true legend out and about spreading the FPR image

Moffatt & Ford

At long last and it is a shame we don`t recognise our true legends before they croke it.

It is also sad that idiot who changed Ford funding a while back did what he did bescause Moffat could have ended up at Djr instead. ( Would love to know Dicks thoughts on Moffat at Djr )

Any way it`s Fantastic to see James get a great opportunity at FPR and whish him well. [drive] Just need to wrestle that number 9 from SBR.

It will be good to see old Moff lurking around the v8supercars. He is a big part of motor racing history in this country and a bloody legend at that. My day to day mechanic worked for Moffat through the RX7, Sierra and EB days and has some bloody good stories to tell. He said he was a champion at dragging cash from sponsors, but even better at spending it on everything other than motor racing!. This meant when it was time to prepare a car for the series, he at times they were almost screwing them together out of the sapar parts bin, how things have changed.
