Hey Col, I reckon its a good idea as well - and would, in my opinion, help to lift DJR to the next level - Steve seems to be in a comfort zone which gets extended once a year at the Mountain - nothing against him, but I reckon a change wouldnt hurt, so long as Junior can get a good seat.

I have mixed feelings on this one... i've said once or twice that it might be in Steve's best interests to experience another team, as it may give him a little more room to stretch himself as an individual(it's never easy working for family)... but then, it would be cruel to see him go and perhaps have the team move into a purple patch without him. He's toiled pretty hard over the last couple of years for the team, and it would be good to see his work rewarded.

I would keep Steve at DJR i have a feeling we still havent seen the best of him.But i would like to see a real gun driver in the other car i think that would bring the best out of Steve especially if the other driver had car development skills. Gee getting John Bowe for a couple of years would be good hs still has the pacetto mix it with the top guys and is great at testing and setting the car. I think JB would bring the best out of Steve. JB had alot to do with Steve in Steves early years.

MMMM why would CL come to DJR...our cars are not up to scratch so he may as well stay where he is

Gee Aides, whilst DJR may not be SBR at the moment, I reckon Prodrive are having a harder time of it at the moment, and notwithstanding the rain at Eastern Creek, Craig would have finished further down the order I think - however you are right in suggesting that the better the team performs, the more pull they have with good drivers.

3 from 3 in the top 10.......hmmmmmmmmmmmm, & all of those as the 2nd or 3rd Ford across the line..........hmmmmmmm.............I say Dick had better make sure Steve stays. My loyalty used to be for the team, but after the last 3 rounds I'm now firmly for Steve.

Oh, & by the way, Steve had better come in the top 5 for the season. I have a bet going. I'll expect Steve & Dick to be either side of me if I have to go through with it:D

Ok you can tell us DJRFAN1, whats the bet, and does it involve nudity -whilst Steves a nice guy, him nude could sway me permanantly to the "red side"

Thpoil thport, to use Sylvester the cat's words.

He did go from near the back to 12th to 9th in just 3 races. I'm confident he'll keep rising. After all, he is now undisputedly 1 of the top 3 Ford drivers, but consistently so.

We now have to work out a plan to thwart the red team's rise to the top 5.

another thing about Steve that nobody has mentioned here.... I can't remember him bending the car without help. You can pretty much count on him finishing the race in one piece unless he is the wrong place at the wrong time

Spot on rusky, DJR must be saving plenty on repair bills lately. Mate you've only got to see SJ in the VB challenge to see the talent & car control he's got. Just amazing car control.
