JIM BEAM RACING MOVES FORWARD WITH COMPANY RESTRUCTURE
Jim Beam Racing is set to move forward during the remainder of the 2007 season and beyond with a strong plan for the future accompanied by recent on-track form.
Part of the iconic Queensland team?s back-to-basics plan includes a recent company restructure which will streamline the team?s operations and enhance on-track performance.
General Manager Steve Chalker has mutually agreed with the team to pursue other avenues as Jim Beam Racing takes a new direction for the future.
Team owner Dick Johnson is fully supportive of Chalker?s move, emphasising that it is ?business as usual? for Jim Beam Racing and that the restructure will have no effect on the team?s daily activities.
?Steve Chalker has been a part of our business during the past 5 years and he has guaranteed his full assistance to the team moving forward. At this point, Steve has mutually agreed with the team to pursue other avenues and we most certainly wish him all the best in his future endeavours,? Johnson said.
Johnson added, "This is just the beginning for the team; Jim Beam is extremely supportive and has guaranteed the team?s future going forward. The future direction that the team is taking will enhance our performance on the track and it is still ?business as usual? at Dick Johnson Racing despite our recent decision to restructure the company.
?We are very thankful to our fans and sponsors who have been most supportive of the team in recent times and we hope they continue to support us as we take this new direction. Jim Beam Racing is here to stay and I?m sure that those who matter won?t believe all of the media hype?, Johnson concluded.
Jim Beam Racing sporting director, Adrian Burgess has taken over Chalker?s responsibilities in the interim, in addition to all on-track activity for the team.
