That was a reasonable purchase Bartman. Did you grab it?

No i managed to get one a couple of months back for $195.00.
They claim their computer says they have more but they can't seem to find them in stock. Was trying to get a couple from them for yourself and Poita but as yet no luck.

Yes i did say $195.00[y]

We'll have to change this topic to "Yap's Latest Find". [bw]

I am a bit of an eBay whore :D

Interesting fact

If you do a search for "James Courtney" there is an Adult actor called "Courtney James" who has lots of stuff pop up

I think posting live auctions is a bad idea. Some one may be on to a bargain and it just lets more people know about it. Post it when the auction is finished. Not that I want these things but I have been bitten before

Sorry don't agree 79Maq as it would be no different to the listers friends bumping up the price and we all know that happens. Also you are already competing with everyone else out there.

Also makes other members aware of something they may be after.

Agree with Bartman, people are informing fellow members about items of interest on ebay, I'm yet to see a post with a link to a live auction for an item that is/was a bargain.

As you know Stuart Biante Mods stopped members posting links to live auctions (which I don't have a problem with) because some members like to think they are the only ones who know about these bargains. What used to happen was a member would post a link to a model that was listed at $0.99 or whatever and had x number of days or hours still to run, twenty or so members would then complain they were watching that auction hoping to get a bargain.

Auctions very rarely go for a bargain, "buy it now" you'll have more of a chance of getting a bargain. If a fellow members is checking ebay regularly do you really think they would inform everyone of the item if they though it was going to go cheap.

The previous posts I have gone through in this topic are informing members of items of interest, so unless something drastic changes posting links to live auctions in this thread can continue as normal.

Unless of course someone post a link to a bargain that I'm watching. Then I'll just delete their post :D

but missed out on the 2007 Yearbook

When I rang the guy to pick them up, he said "look I haven't contacted the other guy about the book he has won, do you want it as well"

Obviously he had used another account to bid on one of them to see how far I had loaded my bid up - and when he went too far offered it to me

Oh come on we're all freinds here, . . . .aren't we ?

To be honest i can't get much done on ebay, haven't bought anything on there as Pete will tell you , I'm hopeless with it, but isn't it kind of selfish to keep a good bargain quiet especially when you don't want it and it's relevent to any other collector on a fan site ?

Post away I say[y]

I think that's the 'key' - If you are bidding on it, by all means keep it to yourself. But if you're not, why not share the knowledge?

It's not like EVERY (or even 'most') djr related items on ebay have a link posted here. Only the "interesting" ones??

I did say 'interesting' items !!

Bartman - I can get you one cheaper (that also has a gearbox !!)
