 Firstly, OMG do something DJR the structure is not right! Luv Dick and Steve to my bones but for christ sake taking on 4 cars was not the right decision. Man do I hope these words come back and haunt me come the end of the season!

Something needs to give or a miracle needs to happen in Adelaide to kick the year off or we are burried already. We simply don't have the pace so if you guys expect miracles start praying! Swetnam has shown nothing but being a cost that so far he does not deserve and he really needs to lift the entire team. Yea nice bloke but unfortunately not as good as the dollars he is paid.

I fear we will be second rate again this season........sorry guys but it doesn't look good already.[tsk]

Shame on me for speaking out!

Sheesh, can't believe the negativity on here. We haven't even had a single race yet. Just one qualifying session and some wana toss it in already. It's a marathon not a sprint.

Sick of all the bullshit posted here. I post stuff all now and some good members left last year

I hope you guys don't get my race reports wrong. I'm not trying to be negative, it's more taking the piss out of the constant BS spin coming from DJR. I've been Tru-Blu through the good and the bad, that's not about to change! DJR would be every bit as frustrated as us at the performance or lack of in the last 6 months. I just wish they would cut the crap, man up and fix it.

RJ your reports are tongue in cheek and anyone with a sense of humour would take them that way.

A lot of us are just frustrated DJR supporters, the same as if our football team was constantly getting bashed from pillar to post. It's has not all been from lack of speed but it makes it more frustrating when the team has incidences like Bathurst, just when we think we're in with a chance of a good result it all turns arse up again.

We don't expect DJR cars to win any races, we can't compete with the big budget teams, but it is frustrating to see our team down the back end of the grid at times. I think most of us would be happy under the current circumstances to see any of our drivers in the top ten.

And as others have said, the spin coming out of DJR last year didn't help matters much. We have a new team, new personal and a lot of changes have happened over the off season, give it time to gel together.

The fact that we are still here commenting shows we care, most comments I see here are from passionate supporters not people bagging the crap out of the team.

Maq, I don't believe your comment is quite correct, there may be some BS posted here as you suggested, you get that on any public Forum, what you get here is a lot of passionate DJR supporters frustrated with there team, but we are still here and we still care.

I also don't see any evidence from our logs that show we have lost "some good members".

I see the negativety as a positive

Hopefully it will spur the team onto bigger and better things.
What they need to realise is that DJR have some of the most loyal supporters in the country that have followed this team through thick and thin and will continue to do so.
The people that frequent this forum is only scratching the surface and we are but a small group of those loyal fans

These supporters eat, breathe and live DJR. When the team wins, we ride the wave of emotion with them and when the lows come(all to often) we are still there riding those same emotions that the team members do.

My only concern is sponsors these days want results.
Can DJR survive another FirstRock V8Telecom saga, because without results thats where we are heading.

Dick and Steven need to make some very tough decisions and they need to make them fast.
Engineering wise, we have gone backwards and in a big way.
Things need to change

Things haven't been the same since "the split".

We had everything and in my opinion were on the verge of a golden era, but through greed and family looking after family that all got thrown away..

Dont get me wrong, I am all for the J in DJR to remain that way but unfortunately a decision should have been made years ago for a certain person to step down from driving full time and concentrate on the business, not driving.

As Col said, sponsors wont tolerate mediorce performances anymore, they want bang for buck or will simply take their dollars elsewhere, unfortunately if things remain the same as they are for the forseeable future I cant see anything more than DJR being a consistent mid fielder at best.

I hope I am proven wrong.

My two bobs worth..

I love your reports RJ ;)

Was sitting on the couch with the missus watching the race, and they interviewed AB in the wankafone pits, and my missus said "thats who we miss" and I think she really hit the nail on the head

Jnr was the first DJR car over the line today...

Its good to see some fresh blood in the forum, albeit frustrated. Its a long season boys, chins up!
I see your point, bit frustrating though when you know, in your heart, that the best we will be at the moment is mid fielders.

Sorry, just saying it as it is..

Bring on BMW and some real factory money..

Yeah, I know mate. Steve may not be the quickest bloke out there but he is consistent and always brings it home. This made him the ideal driver when our cash flow was really limited a few years back.

Bring on BMW and some real factory money..

Yes, it may be a bumpy ride this year, but a lot will change in 2013 [y]

All I meant was that after the first qualifying session for the year and before the first race had even started, some were tossing in the season. It has been a massive off season transitioning into a 4 car operation and hiring new staff. It will take them sometime to get their act together but I would expect stronger results as the season unfolds. Until then, I will cheer them on at each event no matter how frustrating it may be.

Tis abit frustrating, especially seeing Webb with no sponsor doing better, but it will come around, everything has to fall into place, it will, happened before will happen again.....

Looks like the three big budget teams will fight it out for the championship.
DJR are fighting a teams championship..................................the team that finishes closest to the top ten out of the rest.
Im not bagging DJR, just being realistic about our chances of winning the chamionship in 2012.
I think at times all of the cars will show flashes of speed, but are unlikely to challenge for race wins.
Its a bit unfair to load crap on Steve, he has been through many rough and financially tough years at DJR. Rarely has he been given a car that is a true top three contender. For most of his career DJR have struggled for $$$ and his results on the track are a result of that. Put him in the 888 car with the right funding and he will perform equally as well as Wingecup of Lowndes

And the unfortunate thing about this position is when you end up with a gun driver, great engineers and managers the rich teams poach your staff and you have to start again..... Ah well, still my team who ever is driving for them.
